I want to say one more thing about this game. The last play of the game isn't where OSU lost, IMO. You got surprised by TCU putting two guys guarding the inbounds pass with 4 seconds left & did not have a timeout. Obviously they didn't get what they wanted in that scenario, but putting the whole game on one play does a disservice to ignoring a real flaw in the team, which was interior defense. TCU was able to score near the basket over and over, their forwards were able to constantly get to the basket, get layups and get fouled, and OSU had very little in terms of strength, holding position, shotblocking and help defense to stop them. Plus they were able to get a ton of offensive rebounds. To me, this game was lost moreso on the defensive end where they failed to stop TCU from getting easy shot opportunities down the stretch. I'm a firm believer that in the NCAA tournament, when the going gets tough, the team that's tougher to score on in the paint wins, and OSU wasn't that team yesterday. In order for OSU to take the next step as a program, they need to be that team that's tougher to beat in the paint.
Yes. They have been a 2nd half team all season. Uncharacteristic UVA turnovers today - both forced and unforced, and the Wright State guy who had 1 3-pointer all season made 5 of them, kept this game close. I would be really curious to hear why Wright State kept their top scorer (16 in 1st half) out for so much of the 2nd half. Really a head scratcher without knowing more.Virginia does that often, their depth and physicality catches up with teams at the end of the game. They obviously show the importance of strength and depth.
Bama made a run and leads by 2 at half.Hofstra is up 7 midway thru the first half vs. Alabama. Pride came to play today.
NoDoes Kerry Collins not count?
(I didn't click the video because it sounds dumb. Maybe the "QB Lab" started since 1995.)
Hofstra is ballin. 10 point lead, 6 for last 6 from the fieldWhat? You said Hofstra won at Pitt and Syracuse, and I could pick Hofstra to beat Alabama? Say no more.
