Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Anything that didn’t include at minimum two 1st rounders is a joke. Berry just had a relapse and reverted back to his Watson trade days. Either give up the farm for a trash heap, or trade your prized thoroughbred for “potential.”

I will say trading Garrett was probably the right move. He is at his all time peak value, but what we got in return does not equal imo. Regardless, the Browns are going nowhere without a competent QB. Shedump and Twatson?!? Lolz…
And here's why this team thinks they're playing 4D chess and they're playing 1/2D Tiddlywinks. You want to move him, then move him. You don't want to say it publicly, fine, then go behind the scenes and work the phones. But they said he was "untouchable" and according to reports apparently everyone believed them but the Rams, who just kept dogging them about it. THERE WAS NO BIDDING WAR. THERE WERE NO OTHER OFFERS BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T WANT ANY. They could have gotten a better deal, even from the Rams, if they had entertained all of the other teams, because at least one other contender would have been a suitor, and probably multiple. But nope. Let's do nothing to drive the price up, or even to let anyone else know there was a fucking price at all. Let's just take the first and only deal we can get, and set the team up for, what 2030? It's like the radio people said "more draft picks. yyyyaaaayyyyyyyy". And not even good ones at that.

2027 GA RB Nigel Newkirk (Alabama Verbal)

Ohio State offered Newkirk back in December and was set to host the 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back for an official visit on June 12. The visit will no longer happen and the Buckeyes will have to turn elsewhere if they aren’t able to get Gabriel Georges. Newkirk was the No. 16 player in the class and No. 230 player nationally, per 247 Sports Composite.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Yeah that's what is being reported on the national news too. So basically, a decent player, a useless first round pick where you take a center or a project WR or safety, a case of turtle wax and a bag of footballs.

According to the Cleveland beat, the rest includes a ‘28 2nd and a ‘29 3rd…:slappy:

Big Back Poll

Love that run! "He threw a shoe..." First thing I think of when I think of Byars.

Just sayin': Yeah, back in 1984 it was much higher on the list of "Biggest Plays in Ohio State History" than is today; however, it is still remembered and on the list.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

I just read the article I shared and I want to make sure I understand this.

The Rams get a two-time NFL DPOY who just set the sack record and is signed through 2030 for a guy who has had 12 sacks in his first two seasons, what will most likely be an end of the first round pick in 2027, and TBD draft compensation.

Rams pushing their chips to the center of the table and Temu Jimmuh adding draft picks to grab Arch Manning. Seems right on brand for both franchises.

If you never saw Byars watch this for a slight glimpse of just how good he was

If you find yourself saying "what if" on MoC then you probably didn't see Byars because everything MoC was lauded for (vision, strength, hands) Byars did better, in a bigger body.

Just sayin': Back in 1984 he had a very notable game vs Illinois. This is how good he was in a Buckeye uniform.

Ohio State defeated Illinois 45–38 on October 13, 1984, orchestrating a massive comeback from an early 24–0 deficit. Star tailback Keith Byars carried the Buckeyes with a then-school-record 274 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, famously scoring a 67-yard touchdown while running in just one shoe.

J.J. McCarthy (once a tCun, always a tCun; Nine on the Pine)

Gotta be the smartest man in the room.

Just like 49ers taking Trey Lance hoping he could one day be what Justin Fields was in College with Justin Fields sitting right there.

Now going by his Career Justin Fields may not have worked out either but he was the more complete option. Don't choose a more raw Justin Fields if you want a more polished Justin Fields
I think all the GM's bought into the complete bullshit being whispered by Mormon Leaf's team that JF had a shifty work ethic, was a bad teammate and dumb.

And while we're here, fuck JJ Leaf too.
