Fort Wayne lost their season opener to Grand Canyon by 19 points. Hopefully we get a way better defensive effort in this one

If it make anyone feel better, Iowa gave up 173 to them. And Iowa is a top 10 rushing defense, #2 total defense, and #4 scoring defense.

Allar getting hurt actually forced them to develop an identity on offense. Still bad, yes, but they no longer have the luxury of giving Singleton and Allen equal touches. Allen is the clear RB1 and if they had started opperating like this against Oregon, there’s a solid chance they only have 2 losses.

Some fans think the defense is too good to be true. No, they haven’t played an elite offense, but are any P4 offenses that far ahead of everyone else? The metrics are in love with USC and IU, but both have stumbled against the best defenses they’ve played. Georgia, Bama, and Ole Miss look the most dangerous but aren’t any better than Oregon was last year.

They won’t hold everyone under 14 points, but the defense is legit.

RB - Legend Bey, potentially someone else as Birm said previously the staff has backup options if Latimer goes elsewhere.

Another interesting note, apparently Birm said in the past Ohio State has their eye on a RB and is watching to see if they enter the portal.
The switch to taking 2 RBs this class instead of 3, could be a sign that their guy will hit the portal.

Same size as Amari Latimer, productive two seasons at Florida. I’d watch for Ahmad Hardy at Missouri too if Drink leaves Missouri for one of these openings.

I think Baugh makes a whole lot of sense. Florida fired Billy Napier recently. He was being used completely wrong in the Florida offense. Florida constantly forced the ball down field by throwing it even when they had 5+ yards per carry from Baugh when he did run. Now that might have due to light boxes from opposing defenses knowing they were going to throw the ball 70% of the time, but he still had to find the whole and break some tackles. I would be happy with Baugh if he did enter the portal. Definitely not as good as Judkins out of the portal but by far a better transfer back than Donaldson if Baugh did enter the portal.

I didn’t realize Ahmad Hardy is just a sophomore, I think he will be the RB prize of this year’s transfer portal. Similar path as Quinshon Judkins, 1400 yards his first year, on pace for another 1200 yards this year, already has played himself into a day 2 draft pick.
Could transfer from Missouri and protect his body along with chasing a title. Definite transfer if Drink leaves Missouri for Penn State, Florida, LSU or Auburn.

Went to a new Ophthalmologist today. Filled out all these forms online ahead of time. What was the first thing they asked me to do, yeah fill out all the damn forms by hand.
