2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

But they had a bye how can they play so well.

Indiana has a better coach than Ohio State, and we are stuck after a title, welcome to the spin cycle.

I think if we had beat Indiana we would be beating Bama as well. Not taking away from Indiana but Bama is easily the worst non G5 playoff team this year.

Nothing like watching Indiana just take it to Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Imagine writing the sentence a couple years ago.
Imagine last season I say “It’s not a fluke, next year the Hoosiers will be the #1 team in the nation shutting Bama out 17-0 at halftime in the quarter finals.”

I don't know if it's possible for there to ever be another Saban-like run. But clearly he's an excellent coach. You can't smoke and mirrors your way to a season like this.

In the current climate no way anyone is pulling that kind of run. Just too many added moving parts today and then you also have the 12 team playoff which makes it even more difficult as well to win multiple titles in a row.

did Herbie just say Indiana "isn't Oklahoma". Is that an acknowledgement that an SEC team is worse than a B1G team?

Lots of accidental slips by ESPN folk this week. During the Iowa Vandy game the announcers accidentally said twice that "both teams want to be here in this game"

What's puzzling is he is positioning himself in a class of one (himself) among current coaches, pending the outcome of this tournament, and he's doing that at Indiana. AI just told me Indiana spent only $10M on NIL for their football team this season. Including rev sharing and financial contributions.
