"We Choose to Go To The Moon!"

Cripes. I never thought of that.
Who will defend us, now? Gen Z? The nazis can invade, armed with little more than peanuts and insults, and Gen Z won't be able to cope.
Maybe Powdered Toast Man?

Nah, Z gets a bad wrap. They'll fight.

It's the Millennials you have to watch out for. The Nazi's know what Vichy looks like when they see it.

Why do you think they sent Taylor Swift down to scout us out? Her popularity all but guarantees the invasion.

Nazi's are like anyone else, they take an ass kicking and they remember it. They want to be sure our grandfathers and great grandfathers are gone before they show their faces again. We are softer now than the French ever thought about being in '39.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

Just ignorant spending of money. I'm ready to get it this ride.

It's definitely making me quickly lose much interest in college hoops. The Football portal is a joke too but I think it's much worse in basketball because of the way smaller roster size.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

IU has hit the portal hard, just landed Bama transfer Sherrell, who was one of the top bigs. They just got another of the top bigs yesterday, Yigitoglu from SMU, and landed star PG Burton from ND. Plus they got a couple wings out of the ACC including one that got 10 ppg at GT and a Duke transfer. Hoosiers have basically bought an entire team in the portal.

Iowa Hawkeyes (Official Thread of The Under)

About the only thing consistent about the NCAA is their inconsistency.

I remember over 20 years ago when Jeremy Bloom was ruled ineligible for Colorado. He was a WR/return man who was an Olympian and actual World Champion in mogul skiing. He had some paid endorsements for snowboards so the NCAA said he couldn’t play college football.

About the same time, Domer DB Tommy Zbikowski wanted to take part in a boxing match with paying customers. The NCAA said that was OK.

The fact that almost nobody would care about the boxing match unless he played football at ND didn’t matter. While on the other hand, people buying snowboards endorsed by Bloom might care about the fact that he was a World Champion skier but probably couldn't care less that he also played college football.

Logic and fairness never seem to be their priorities.

I just looked up Jeremy. He’s a multi-millionaire, the current CEO of the X Games, and is married to a Brazilian actress.

Godspeed Jeremy. By all accounts he’s a good dude too.

Thee Ohio State University News

Yuk. Yuk. Agree with your premise. Maybe after all of these decades, it's time to leave behind the "well-rounded education". Someone on the engineering track for instance, shouldn't need to take a poetry class, no? If you want it, certainly. In undergrad, had a guy on the medicine track, that got A's in his classes, and a D in English. (PS, was an English speaker). Now, as a side, am moving back to Ohio, and while looking to rebuild my stable of doctors, have noted that many are from tOSU School of Medicine. So guess we'll see how many we/I interview to see if they're as good as we have here in the boondocks of California. Stay tuned. PS, is tOSU/Wexner Medical buildings a home for the unqualified med school grads? Kinda tongue in cheek, but also kinda serious....thanks
It's a top 25 medical school that accepts only 5% of its applicants. Its graduates are just fine.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

I think we definitely have a better shot getting guys like Williams/Blakeney who only have 1 year of eligibility left than guys with multiple years of eligibility left when it comes to getting them here to be a rotational player.

Guys with multiple years left (Like the FAU guard we were in on who decided to go the Providence) are way more likely to go somewhere where they are more assured to be a top end option for that team so they can try to prove themselves more as a reliable starting option and game for a raise and another program upgrade the next year.

I don't know much about Blakeney but Jimmie Williams would be an excellent get to backup the 2/3, think he would be rock solid at that role.
