Hopefully that means they saw enough from one of the rookies to not need Pickett. I think they tried this move a few years ago when DTR looked good in the preseason so they traded the backup then Watson got hurt and DTR wasn't ready. It's probably more likely that Gabriel is ready to be an NFL QB than DTR was as a rookie. I feel like the main reason they drafted Gabriel was because he was an experienced high-floor type of player.
With that said, there must be something real behind the ban and not petty rivalry stuff. Desmond Howard is a troll and they have not
banned him.
Is this OSU's unstated feelings about signal gate being stated, another concern about the length he goes to troll or really just pettiness? Would love to know.
