For quite a while, the Buckeyes had several crystal ball predictions to land Gabriel Georges. However, the tide seems to be turning. Over the last few days, it seems that he has been leaning towards Tennessee. Now, a big expert prediction has flipped to the Volunteers.

Crystal ball prediction flips to Tennessee over Ohio State for David Gabriel Georges​

According to Steve Wiltfong of Rivals, he has flipped his prediction from Ohio State to Tennessee. That's a big blow for the Ohio State Buckeyes, just two days before Gabriel Georges is set to make his decision. It means that the NIL money might have been increased by the Volunteers.

Wiltfong has heavily implied that the NIL money is the driving factor in this decision. If that is the case, the Vols could have another Chaz Coleman situation on their hands. He was the last player that they offered a bunch of NIL money to choose them over the Buckeyes, and that blew up in their face.

Ohio State may have the backbone of yet another national champion-caliber defensive front after adding Karlos May.

The Ohio State Buckeyes did it again with the commitment of 4-star defensive tackle Karlos May. Not only is the program's Alabama pipeline strengthened with yet another recruit from the Yellowhammer State spurning the Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers for the Scarlet and Gray, but the Buckeyes have found their final infinity stone up front.

May is a one-technique who could also be a three-tech, but he's someone who complements the program's 2027 group nicely. Marcus Fakatou is a five-tech, while DJ Jacobs and Wyatt Smith are edge-rushers by trade.

As Cleveland.com's Andrew Gillis notes, the May commitment gives Ohio State's 2027 high school class perhaps the best group of DL since the 2021 cycle. That class had J.T. Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Tyleik Williams, and Mike Hall, which was the crux of an eventual championship during the 2024/2025 CFP.

"The addition of May gives Ohio State not only one of the best defensive line classes in the country, but multiple prospects who can fill a host of different roles. After a handful of tackle additions last cycle, the Buckeyes now have at least one in 2027," Gillis wrote. "Ohio State’s defensive line class is likely complete with the four additions, as May was the last piece to the puzzle for defensive line coach Larry Johnson.

"Now, the Buckeyes seem to have a class that rivals the 2021 cycle that brought the team J.T. Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Tyleik Williams and Mike Hall. All four were drafted by NFL teams, and three of those four were around for a national title. It was also the backbone of Ryan Day’s best class while at Ohio State...The Buckeyes are hoping that May’s addition to the class can give them the same results."

OSU's 2027 class will be in a better place to contribute immediately than the 2021 class​

That 2021 class was arguably held back by then-defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, whose system is notoriously difficult to grasp right away. While the results obviously came after a few years, there's no doubt that Matt Patricia could've had those guys contributing sooner if he were the DC instead. Patricia's defensive philosophies focus on his players' talents, and that group was clearly special considering their NFL trajectories.

Why the USA will likely host the 2038 World Cup after President Donald Trump’s request​

U.S. President Donald Trump has made it clear that he wants the United States to host another FIFA World Cup as soon as possible.

The sun has set on the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which was hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The USA took the biggest load of the three nations, hosting 78 matches in what was an incredibly successful event. As a result, President Trump wants the tournament back on American soil.

In an interview with FOX Sports, President Trump revealed he’s discussed hosting the World Cup again with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, pushing Infantino to consider it even if it’s an unpopular decision.

The 2026 edition was the second time the USA has hosted a World Cup, with the previous edition coming 32 years ago in 1994.

The next two World Cups already have assigned hosts, with Spain, Morocco, and Portugal hosting the centennial 2030 edition alongside one game each in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

The 2034 edition will be hosted in Saudi Arabia, 12 years after Qatar was the last Asian country to host the tournament.

Why the USA will most likely be the 2038 World Cup hosts​

Whether intentional or not, FIFA has essentially put itself in a situation where the USA is the only realistic country to act as hosts for the 2038 World Cup.

FIFA’s rules on rotating the World Cup hosts between continents for each edition are being tested in a major way.

A member association from a confederation that hosted either of the previous two World Cups is generally prohibited from bidding for the next one.

The 2030 edition will be hosted on three continents (Europe, South America, Africa), and 2034 is going to Saudi Arabia (Asia). This rules out four of the six continental confederations from hosting the 2038 WC.

With CONCACAF and Oceania the only eligible continents left for 2038, it’s almost a certainty that the USA’s bid for what might be a 64-team World Cup by then will be the winning one.

It's not "known known for sure" but we've seen how Tennessee will pretty much go over the top and do anything to get a single recruit they have zeroed in on. Desperate programs do desperate program things and there's no need for Ohio State to play that game.

RB was probably more of a real "need" for next year's class. And we already have Elijah Newman-Hall, who is a stud, on board.

The days of the "hometown discount" are over. OSU has stated they will pay big money for 1 WR, NOT 2, and it doesn't matter where you're from. OSU in 2028 got their #1 WR in Harrison, so they don't care if they miss out on McMullen, and they're not getting into a bidding war. The only way that would change is if Harrison were to decommit. And idk if anyone wants that to happen
