Notre Dame (football only discussion)

Maybe this will catalyze the ACC/NCAA etc NOT to write 'sweetheart' language into the play-off protocols. "ND will be included in the playoffs if they are rated #10 or above". Pretty certain I paraphrased that. Anyway, although 'they' said that not playing a conference title game wouldn't hurt a team (pointed at ND), it's clear that it did. Bama got steam-rolled by Georgia, but as a 9-3 team, still made the play-offs (!), but ND did not. That would be my bone of contention. And no, don't really want the Domers in the B10, but I'm an old guy, and recollect that the suitor B10 has been jilted by ND forever. Crazy question, but does anyone know how the viewership has been (up?) since the B10 absorbed the Pac12 four?

2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

Well, the loss to Xichigan last year was ground zero for the Buckeyes, and they ignited for a glorious playoff run. Let's hope that the loss to Indiana does the same thing. Let's hope that our kids don't read the talking heads saying the same thing, and waiting for the same thing to happen this year. Because it won't, unless Day & Co ignite the spark, and they play with their hair on fire.

OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Watched Illinois game last night, and positions were reversed. Didn't pay attention to fouls, but Tilly got the bulk of the minutes...Devin reprised his role as rebounder, and was skying against the taller (!) Illini. Thought the Buckeyes had a chance, but those cats were nailing 3's like the devil was sitting on their shoulders. Illinois has always (in my memory) fielded teams that always had alot of tall timber. Seemed that all the Buckeyes were about 6-8" shorter. Can see why they've been in the Dance, what, 8 years in a row? Anyway, that was NOT a good match-up for the Buckeyes, but they gave it a heckuva whirl. Oh yeah, Diebler, get our guys to spend some time on free throws. The ultimate scoring difference was made from the charity line. And they're called 'free throws' for a reason.

Georgia Bulldogs (2021-2022 National Champions & Excellent Drivers)

Georgia cancels future Home and Home games vs. Louisville and NC State

With the movement from 8 conference games to 9 conference games - the Dawgs had too many opponents in future schedules.
The Louisville series has been cancelled.

NC State has been cancelled because 2033 would have featured three OOC ACC games instead of Georgia and the SEC's agreement to schedule Sunbelt teams on a rotating basis (like Florida, heh).

Future opponents Ohio State, FSU and Clemson are not at risk of cancellation as they currently have the appropriate number of OOC games for their schedule.

Well, you're obviously ignoring the fact that ND sells stadiums out when they come to play these poverty ACC teams. So the ACC should be thanking them for lowering themselves to the ACC level. In fact, fuck the B1G and the SEC for not getting into a bidding war to sign up for a semi-partnership with ND. And fuck the NFL, too. And why the fuck doesn't every money making company in the entire world pay a 10% fee for being lucky enough to watch ND every weekend?
All good points. I stand corrected and can only hope Notre Dame doesn't read what I said earlier.
