Buckeye Planet NOT shutting down (Plum Diamonds)

Met some of my first Columbus friends here when I was a mostly jobless college grad (my first job was at OSU, albeit not a very serious one), years away from fully pivoting to photography successfullt

Met my roommate @crazybuckfan40 here

Talked through lots of life trials with so many friends.

Blew off steam arguing about endless stupid topics.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Thats hilarious, because he doesnt play for my team.
$4-6M for Ty Simpson. My god, teams are throwing stupid money around.

Eventually some of this has to reign in when boosters realize the ROI. But who knows? Maybe money is just made up and unlimited to some folks.

This Uber rich folks just want to show off to one another. Its all about bragging rights and who can get what guy. And even getting a chance at the CFP is bragging in a way for teams like Miami, IU, Texas Tech, SMU, etc. You don't think the boosters for Tech and SMU aren't rubbing this in the face of UT boosters who theyre around? Im sure IU boosters are puffing their chests out when they see scUM, Ped St or OSU alum. Thats their ROI

So this is it.... (or is it?)

For the record, I would donate. The real problem is finding someone to take over financial and administrative responsibilities.
Totally understand. It’s just sad. This is my daily fix for a lot of things. Not sure where we go from here but I am appreciative of the 21 years I’ve had here.

Hey good q. I didn't end up getting around to posting Miami (was a busy time at home and an unfortunate game). May go back and do that tonight

Will keep posting on Twitter. Love working for 11w and hope to keep that going

Thanks for asking. I will miss arguing with all of you guys (and occasional gals) here. We've been through a lot.
I understand it may be a bit much, but absolutely feel free to post some select photos on the Facebook group too if you wish sir.

I just realized out of everyone here on BP, we've known each other (at least sorta kinda) the longest, all the way back to Pennsylvania. Crazy.

Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

No. 1 Offensive Tackle In Transfer Portal Eyes Texas And Oregon

Former Colorado Buffaloes offensive tackle Jordan Seaton is one of the highest-ranked players in the portal. As it could come down to a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) bidding war, the Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns are teams to watch for Seaton.

Since their season ended, the Oregon Ducks have been active in the transfer portal. Oregon coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks have landed quarterback Dylan Raiola and safety Koi Perich, but they reportedly have their sights set on former Colorado Buffaloes offensive tackle Jordan Seaton.

Seaton holds a four-star rating and is the No. 4 player in the portal and No. 1 offensive tackle, according to On3. He has two years of eligibility remaining after playing two seasons with the Buffaloes. According to Pete Nakos of On3, the Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns are teams to watch for the elite tackle.

NIL Play A Role In Landing Jordan Seaton

As a top-five portal player and the highest-ranked offensive tackle, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals will likely play a role in which team lands Seaton.

According to On3, landing an elite offensive tackle would cost a program between $500,000 and $1.2 million, and Nakos reported Seaton could command in the $2 million range. Both Texas and Oregon are building elite teams each season, and it could come down to which program offers a larger NIL package.

With the current landscape of college football and the growth of NIL, the Oregon Ducks have adapted to the changes. When looking to add players through the portal, the Ducks are no strangers to using lucrative NIL deals to bring in elite athletes.
Oregon would've been a safe bet as well

Yeah, but think about the tax deduction you’re going to lose!

But seriously, thanks for stepping up and giving us all some extra years here we wouldn’t have had otherwise. I’m sorry it didn’t work out the way you hoped.
Catalyst for the final year.
