Ohio State @ Washington, Sunday Jan. 11, 6pm EST, Peacock

The machine is playing well. Of course, the other team is on scholarship as well. Do like the way the bigs are playing, obviously before injuries. Also enjoy Devin sneaking in the paint to snag a rebound. He skies bigger than his height. And do believe that Thornton is 'taken for granted', probably by Buckeye faithful, as always going to have a 20 point, 6 assist, 5 rebound night. But if you iso on him, he works very hard for what he gets.

Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

I honestly don't know that one.
they might, I just don't know of anyone that does.
I remember dudes where I'm from that would make trail bologna out of groundhogs, not waste them like that loser Thump. IIRC there was this place (and I don't want to get it wrong but, think like a sportsman's club) where they would get a pool together and whoever shot the biggest groundhog that year would win the pot, but they'd shoot it, bring it to some location to get it weighed, then they'd field dress it and throw it in the freezer, then at the end there was this big event to do the trail bologna making (they might have done other stuff, but my buddy would enter every year and he didn't like trail bologna, like a loser)

2024 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Might suggest that now the Players have learned the rules of this new game. Some of the players go to smaller schools and excel, and then leverage their 'minor league' experience to the bigger/better teams via the portal. Others sign with, and get the training from, the better schools, with better coaches/facilities, etc and then leverage THAT into more NIL cash. Some are taking their skillset and contributions, and looking around to see where they can make a bigger impact (look at the QB carousel). Someone wiser than I might see how many QBs in the playoffs are with the team they originally sign with. And do a correlation with their original NIL $, versus what they're pulling in now....
Texas Tech, JMU, Bama, UGA, aTm are the only teams in the CFP with QBs they recruited.
Unfortunately many of the NIL numbers aren't made public, so its hard to compare numbers unless the player, their agent or someone associated with them releases that info. Hence why I have yet to see how much Sayin is earning or negotiating, or how much JJ makes(the rumor is he's up to $7mil for next season). This is all a weird area we're in, in CFB. We know some salaries, but not all. So its kind of like a professional level, but still some numbers are shrouded in secrecy, my guess is because there isn't enough interest in those particular players.

Indiana Hoosiers (2025 National Champions)

I had a co-worker(? I don't know, a guy in a different section of our shared cubicle farm), who's a Georgia fan, ask my thoughts on the "Indiana cheating" stuff. I told him A) I have no idea about any of that, because most of what I see stems from more "Look what OSU fans are saying now....." and B) "the precedent has been set that cheating is okay, as long as you can pay the fine, so good on them."
He then needed me to explain what I meant, and actual information about the scUM stuff, to try and differentiate or relate it to the current IU stuff.
