K Jayden Fielding (All B1G, National Champion)

I get that he missed a short one yesterday and had the two bad misses against UM last year, but the talk about him being bad is really puzzling.

Last year in the playoffs, he went 4-5 on field goals with the one miss being the long one at the end of the half versus Tennessee. And two of those makes were from 46.

This year, he was 15-17 before yesterday and 1 of those misses was from 50+.

That’s about as reliable as you are going to get.

People are acting like we’ve had Nuge kicking for us for the last 20 years and that simply is not true.

2005: Huston was 22-28 and was 0-2 from 50+
2006: Pettrey + Pretorius went 9-13 but were 3-5 from 50+
2007: Pretorius was 18-23 and 1-1 from 50+
2008: 22-27, 3-5 50+
2009: 21-30, 2-4 50+ — Pettrey missed 2 from inside 30 and 2 more from inside 40. He had a terrible time with those short, sharp-angle kicks. It was dreadful.

And so on. Remember 2016 when Durbin missed two short ones against UM?

It fucking sucks that he missed that kick yesterday, but he has NOT been a bad kicker. And I think it’s crazy that people think he has.

2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Okay who the fuck wants to watch JMU against Oregon? Like fucking why? What the fuck is that shit? You could have had ratings off putting ND in there and I’d absolutely watch it. But no, let’s televise a 57-5 ordeal and give Oregon a bye for losing to the only good team they played all season.

Yeah k
Yeah, I don't get it but don't forget that Tulane beat USC in a bowl a few years back and programs like Boise State and Gonzaga (in basketball) made names for themselves being giant killers. For all we know this could be JMU's moment to rise to the next level and become one of the NKOTB.

2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

Clearly the OL is the most important thing to address. I’d like to move Daniels to guard and start Moore, but that’s going to take too much time. Start whoever is going to be the most consistent over Tegra. Fulton did bring up that them using a silent count made it hell on the OL. Indiana timed up the snaps perfectly and teed off on the OL.

Just saw that Hartline will remain the play caller, and I’m not happy with that. He’s grown a lot this year, but took far too long to adapt yesterday. Now he’s going to be splitting time between OC and USF? He’s not experienced enough to do that. They need absolute focus like last year, and this isn’t providing that.

3 TEs is fine, sometimes, but Smith and Tate should be on the field 95% of playoff snaps. And get Smith the ball when he’s 1on1 in the RZ. Sayin hasn’t consistently made the throw down there all year.

Finally, trust Bo. After a season of easing Sayin into the game, they laid it on his shoulders with 14 pass attempts to 8 rushes in the first half. It felt like they got a bit impatient when the passing game sputtered. Bo needed more touches in the first half and game overall.

Yeah k

or cut the field down A LOT.
7 teams at most deserve to be in this year.

give Indiana the lowest remaining seed after round 1.
other two round 1 winners play each other.

want to get in the field?
don’t fucking lose multiple games then whine about it.

Notre Dame (football only discussion)

the more we expand, the more we push where the controversy line is.
And expand the scope of controversy.

There are always more 2-3 loss teams than undefeated or 1 loss teams, so the more you expand, the more teams will whine

FSU was the main whiner in 2023. UGA had a case that year but they accepted their defeat in the CG (which used to mean something regarding playoff implications).

2025, we have ND, Vandy, Texas, BYU, and probably others I can’t even think of off the top of my head.

B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

I think he kindof is. He doesn't really make guys miss and fall forward.
Have you been watching the same guy that I've been watching? He makes plenty of guys miss, and he nearly always falls forward. The only thing he's lacking is breakaway speed.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

JFC. Browns just lost again--at home--and this time to a team that was 1-10...despite outgaining them by 120 yards, having almost twice as many first downs, and outgaining them by almost two yards per play.
I don't understand how this outfit still has supporters. They've been shitting on a great fanbase for 26 years.

If it wasn't the Bucks being in the game and coming up just short, it would have been a great game to just watch and enjoy.
The guy sitting next to me was an impartial observer. He was marveling at IU's defense. He said it was like they were getting Ohio State's offensive calls because they were filling the passing lanes so fast.

For whatever that's worth.
