Was my first job and I think it paid $18K a year plus my grad tuition and student football tix. Those were good days, remember them well. I had an intro philosophy class thought by some really old but great guy. IIRC he was somewhere in Bertrand Russell’s lineage. Closer to Russell than further… he was old.

Also had an ethics class at tOSU. The guy was too old to be a grad student and had a bit of an accent. African maybe? Either way, one day we were discussing the ethics of dating and this guy used to call on people randomly to keep the class on its toes. I forgot the prompt a long time ago but once, when called upon in that discussion, I made reference to ‘coyote ugly.’ Probably related to ‘do you call her back’ type of question. The prof either was not familiar with the term or felt like putting me on the spot, so I had to explain to the class that sometimes you wake up next to someone and rather than waking them you’d rather gnaw your arm off… like a coyote in a trap. Ahh… good times.

For as much set theory as I deal with in data science, I always wished that I had taken a formal logic class. I always loved the topic, but alas… there were math and stats classes to take!

Compared to the culture in the state of Utah, he's basically living in Gomorrah now. And to think Michigan is actually trying to clean up their act instead of just hiring a coach with a clean rep as a PR move is foolish. Look what Moore and Harbaugh were allowed to get away with. The AD is the same and they still don't have a president, do they?

So, is Harden here just to finish out the season? Use his talents before the honeymoon period ends, hope he helps them to a championship, and then hope for some cap relief since Harden's contract is only partially guaranteed next season?

Let's hope Kobi knows what he is doing. And this gif is my fear for Harden.

Don’t worry he’ll disappear at the end of important games and not even want to touch the ball.

As long as they don’t extend him I guess they save a year on his cap unless he can be convinced to opt out of his contract

Phenomenal game by the sisters and the rest of the starters are really playing well. That blip in Iowa happens in this conference but if they keep playing defense and get Kitts back they can end up in the Final Four.

Very briefly met him when I was in High School and Tommy Rowlands was still at Ready. We had gone to Ready for a joint practice and he asked me about my elbow since I had just dislocated it earlier that week and still in a sling and half-cast.

I can't say I knew him personally, but for a coach to ask a kid from a different school about his elbow, especially one who was clearly pissed he had to miss practice, it definitely made an impression.
