Is This The Best OSU Team Ever?

Outside of bad luck and injuries, 2019 didn't have too many weaknesses. Fields wasn't Sayin but he'd still light your ass up if you let him and the run game was light years better. 2019's defense was arguably as dominant as 2025 against better competition overall.

If 2025 goes on a dominant run from SCUM to the NC though, I'd be willing to put them at the top.

Hard to argue with this lol.

I will say however that the way the game flows now is different than 5 years ago. Not as many opportunities to score with less gametime due to a running clock, ie: less style points. I dont know the numbers but this year's offense may be more efficient and effective with the opportunities they have had.

Day also manages the game in a way to limit plays, wear, and tear for the players. He operated in a more conservative manner to start the season, due to having so many new starters with little experience. By the time the playoffs roll around I expect the offense to be a death star. Only thing I'll say is that this year's team does not have a J.K. Dobbins.

Tennessee has beaten absolutely no one and has three losses

He really is, but I’m with @Jaxbuck that some of that is a result of Smith warping how defenses play, and that’s the tiebreaker between them for me as you can’t hype everyone. Hell, if it was really a best player award, I could make a pretty strong case for Arvell Reese.
