DE Mike Vrabel (All B1G, All American, All Pro, Super Bowl Champ, NFL HC of Year, HC New England Patriots)

I'm willing to bet that many people on this board have either participated, or come damn close to participating, in many of the moral behaviors discussed. I think the problem arises when people put sports people on a pedestal and then expect them to act according to the moral compass that they think people on that pedestal should follow. I want to be clear...Vrabel's behavior suggests that he does not interpret the importance of several values in the same way as many people here do...and further that he is going down a path that will lead ultimately to some serious issues in his life. If this is true, it will probably affect his performance as a coach, at least for a period of time.

We know what wins in the end, almost all of the time.
Let's be honest that many of these athletes and coaches go out of their way to publicly put themselves on that pedestal of morality from the organized prosletizing of other students to the incessant and deeply narcissistic barking about God helping them score touchdowns.

Asinine Conspiracies

Login to view embedded media This is somewhat relevant to this thread. Go to about 4:10 of the video. It's talking about how some people (it might even refer to them as "less intelligent people") don't like to change their mind. So, if someone believes in something we would all agree is "silly" or "dumb" (I'm thinking of flat earthers), and he's presented with facts showing that the earth is round, he chooses ego over accuracy, because it's easier than admitting being wrong (or dumb).
Basically, when you jump into a conversation, do you already know if your mind is set, or are you willing to think it might be changed by what the other guy is presenting?
Have you ever tried to change a woman's mind?

Dumb this down for me, please.
So the Oracle CEO who played a big part in getting Underwear to the cheaters has decided not to throw any more money toward the cheaters?
How might this become political? Is he a political guy or something?
There was something political higher up in the twitter chain, but it's ultimately irrelevant to the topic. Make your life better and get your political updates from this thread. Much smarter way to go through life.

The only important topic is whether their scrooge mcduck is going to stop supporting his girlfriend's favorite team.

Of course, that might risk a Bowling Green level QB starting for them, and those proved more problematic recently than 5 stars.

Can this be an OHIO STATE license plate of some kind.

Gemini says:

Based on its design, colors, and dimensions, this is a 1914 Ohio motorcycle license plate.

Here are the specific details that identify it:

  • Jurisdiction & Year: In 1914, the state of Ohio issued motorcycle plates with this specific orange-on-white color scheme.
  • Design: The "OH" stacked vertically on the left was the standard abbreviation used by Ohio for motorcycle plates during that era.
  • Material: These plates were made of porcelain-enameled steel, which gives them that distinct glossy, heavy finish and embossed look visible in the photo.
  • Size: You can see from the ruler at the bottom that the plate is approximately 8 inches wide. This smaller size (compared to a standard 12-inch car plate) confirms it was intended for a motorcycle.
During the early 20th century, license plate colors changed every year to help police quickly identify if a vehicle's registration was current. These porcelain plates are highly collectible today because they don't rust or fade as easily as the stamped metal plates that followed.
Thanks for the effort. Running with this and will report back.

SF Colin White (transfer to ???)

Mayhaps he's getting in some court time, and back in portal after a 19 ppg, 9 rebs year. Getting recruited, or portaled over gives one an indication that he's good enough to come in, but not get heavy minutes. Heck, I'd skedaddle too. Doubt that MAC money is equal to what he's getting at tOSU, but we all love to play the game, not watch from the pine.

OL Sam Greer (Official Thread)

Dumb question, although my old eyes couldn't read the helmet names during spring game.....anyone care to share what they saw with the incoming freshmen OL's? Was hoping to hear Sam Greer's name, especially since both OT were sidelined. Certainly understand that the soph/jrs were going to get some reps, but maybe announcers were too busy making 'color' that they neglected to mention names (especially OL), as not the skill -rah rah positions. Would appreciate, but woulda thought they'd get some minutes in the Spring showcase.....thanks for clearing away the fog.

This synopsis of this rumor is that Oracle CEO and Michigan bag man (b/c of his lady friend) Ellison is/already pulled his funding:

*Please save the politics for the poli board*, but this would be a pretty giant development if true

J.J. McCarthy (once a tCun, always a tCun; Nine on the Pine)

I still do not fucking understand it. The effect of the cheating on his play became so evident when he dropped off a cliff when they had to stop cheating. How could you just dismiss that and waste the 11th pick on him? Sure take a chance on him in the 2nd round but top half of the 1st???

My top 2 " I told you so" evals.

Johnny Manziel
JJ McCarthy

Joke was on me, as a Browns fan, for the 1st one. So this one with JJ feels SO fucking sweet. You get what you deserve when you make dumb decisions.
Bo nix was taken two picks later. He's everything scouts pretended JJ was

Their D is going from being ran by NFL level guys in recent times to being ran by purely college guys who have spent their whole careers in that Utah/Idaho sphere. I expect a dropoff there too.
Idaho and Utah lead the nation in armed pick-up trucks and % of 3.2 beer consumed.
