2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

I mean how much more of a smoking gun do you need than that damned Wyoming LLC. If Stalions had illegitimately put Corum's name on it, you know damned well that Corum's lawyer and business manager would have made his ass file a formal complaint with the state of Wyoming. Yet, if he filed that complaint while having knowingly been involved with the LLC, it would have been a felony. In that case, his lawyer and business manager would have told him to just let the matter die out. He just let the matter die out.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

In 2010, before the Sugar Bowl, we learned about Ohio State receiving impermissible benefits. The Big Ten and the Sugar Bowl begged and pleaded with the NCAA to allow Ohio State's players to play. The NCAA agreed, and Ohio State won. Some months later, the entire season was vacated. A case could be made that one game should have been left on the season: the Sugar Bowl. Ohio State had permission to play those players in that game, and it was still vacated.

The cheater's seasons should eventually (but soon) be vacated, and that includes the conference championship games and post-seasons. If the conference championship game gets vacated, but they get to keep the conference championship, then this sport is more rigged than a Kansas City Chiefs regular season game.

This has always irked me. Ohio State announced wrongdoings and suspensions for players (starting immediately). Then the powers that be realized that the Sugar Bowl ratings would tank, so those players were made eligible for the bowl game and the suspensions would start the following season. The powers that be profited from this decision and still decided to vacate that game.

To stay on topic, fuck 'em, and this is why tCun should be pummeled into the ground.

2026 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Had no idea he was such a good baseball player, and sounds like he's a legit two-sport star and not a fringe baseball guy that southern football schools can falsely persuade. Thanks for the info!
No problem. Yeah he has legit MLB talent. And IF he went to college, I can see him playing 2 sports at one of the SEC schools like: UK, Vandy, Arkansas, or even Bama. But he'd be moonlighting as a football player

Cleveland Guardians (2025 Season Thread)

It'll be interesting to see how the team approaches the trade deadline given that they don't really need to make any trades since they'll be internally adding a Cy Young starter, set up man, and an All-Star to the lineup. Lots of flexibility for a talented FO.

With Bieber coming back, and Bibee and Williams cemented in the rotation (likely Ortiz is as well), you have Logan Allen and Ben Lively at the back end with room for only one. Lively is in Arb1, Allen is still pre-arb, if we could get Manzardo for Civale I'd imagine we could get a helpful piece back for either of those starters. Lively is 33 but he's clearly found something here in Cleveland and he's been so dang consistent for us, I personally would rather trade Allen while he's having a bounce back year and might be more enticing given his age, team control, and being a lefty.

Cleveland Guardians (2025 Season Thread)

Lane Thomas is back and in the lineup tonight.

First series of the year vs Detroit, would be a good time to start turning things around.
Hopefully he's the first of a number of hopefully helpful returns of guys we haven't seen this season, or most or all of that season for that matter.

2026 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Problem is, Ponatoski wants to play football AND baseball in college. That would set him behind tremendously at OSU, where TSC and eventually Edmunds would be getting in spring reps with the skill positions, and Ponatoski is traveling to play Rutgers or Oregon.
Also Day doesn’t seem to be that impressed by him and neither are national scouts. He’s the #22 QB and ranked #294 overall. His ranking and talent lean more towards him going pro In baseball as he’s the #11 overall baseball recruit and #5 SS in the country. I just don’t see a reason why OSU would show any interest. And also, those Oregon and Bama offers, he’s the 2nd to lowest ranked QB for both of them. So I doubt either would take his commitment tomorrow, and if they did they’re probably taking another QB and he’d be the plan b.

It just seems like it’d take a lot for Day to change course

Had no idea he was such a good baseball player, and sounds like he's a legit two-sport star and not a fringe baseball guy that southern football schools can falsely persuade. Thanks for the info!
