J.J. McCarthy (once a tCun, always a tCun; Nine on the Pine)

I hope he stays in the league, and then the starter gets hurt. Not like a bad injury - just a little something that makes McCarthy go back out there. Then I want to see McCarthy throw a couple of pick-6's.
A couple might be all you'd get to see. He'd fake another injury before a 3rd.

Cincinnati Reds (2026 Season Thread)

Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt missed 22 calls in the Reds Twins game and 16 went against the Reds, including 4 blown strikeouts.

No umpire this season has missed on more than 4 strikeouts in an entire game.

The Reds overcame the bad calls and won a challenge in extra innings to end the game.

This is why you just go fully automated.

Umpires can have awful days juts like anyone else. No need to let it change the outcome of games.

The technology is there, use it.

We played smear the queer too but I remember it more like someone had a ball and everyone chased him, knocked him down, dog piled and whoever got the ball was the queer it repeated over and over.
That's how we played it. Tackle him, let everyone stand up, and he throws it straight up in the air. Whoever gets it - get him.

Came to this thread hoping to see he was cut. Another Monday disappointment

This weekend, we were laughing about how people would react to relatively normal speech from the 1960s-1970s. When I was in junior high school, we were lined up to play two forms of dodgeball. There was dodgeball, in which we threw the ball at a guy who tried to dodge the throw from about 10-15 yards away. There also was "smear the q#$%r", in which some poor guy tried to dodge throws from less than 10 yards, with constant encouragement to throw at them harder. I had no idea what that meant at the time.

Elly, Sal, and Geno have a combined .870 OPS. That’s the second best 3-4-5 combo in all of baseball.

The rest of the lineup has produced a .492 OPS, the worst in all of baseball and 85 points below the 29th team (the Red Sox, whose record happens to be 8-13). OUCH!

Reds pinch hitters have an .807 OPS, 6th best in the majors. That definitely helps win close games.

The bullpen has an ERA of 2.31 the best in baseball by more than a half run!

Back in 2017 I started experiencing some serious inflammation. My feet hurt all of the time, I was even double padding my shoes with Dr Scholl pads. My back hurt, my knees hurt, just about every joint hurt. This was the beginning of about a 3 year period where I went from being extremely fit to fit too fit even though I thought that I was eating well. I was heating a half chicken for lunch with a few corn tortillas and tomato salsa. Jiffy peanut butter was a big indulgence, I would eat a spoonful out of the jar. I also like hummus, I'd buy the "healthy" frozen pizzas and other frozen products from Sprouts. I bought "vegan" cookies and other treats from the bakery.... It took me a few years to realize that the chicken that I was eating every day was marinated in a seed oil and seasoned with an industrial salt, that really red shit, forget what it's called. Both peanut butter and hummus are loaded with seed oils. Those supposed healthy frozen products and still just highly processed shit with loads of chemicals. Needless to says those vegan brownies and cookies were seed oil/sugar bombs. I happen to cut sugar by chance and noticed that I started feeling better. I then started reading about seed oils, modified starches and other really bad shit they were putting into our food. I eventually parred down my meals to a meat base with aromatics and some potatoes or rice. I indulge in tortillas too. My inflammation is gone, my feet never hurt, my gut health has improved dramatically. My next step is to eliminate the adult beverages. I don't eat too much fruit because I've found out that even organic fruit is gassed with a chemical called Stay Fresh which is petroleum based. It remains in the fruit and it's really nasty. The only way to ensure that you're eating fresh is to grow your own produce and by meat local from trusted ranchers. The scam in the meat industry is that to be certified grass fed beef it only has to eat grass for 6 weeks. These meat producers but young cows that are feed corn powder and antibiotics, take them to a barn and feed them grass for 6 weeks and presto, you have grass finished beef.
I buy plain peanut powder. Just add water and a little salt for good peanut butter with customizable texture.

Some of those pitches were 4 fucking inches off the plate. Funny how he stopped calling them in the 10th once the Reds got a challenge back. Some of them weren’t even fucking close. Absolutely atrocious.

Georgia Bulldogs (2021-2022 National Champions & Excellent Drivers)

A male, later identified as Zacharia Branch, continued to stand on the sidewalk without making an attempt to move. I continued to give Zacharia Branch verbal commands to move from blocking the sidewalk and advised that if he did not, he would receive a citation for blocking the sidewalk. Zacharia Branch smirked, then stepped backwards and to the right, then remained standing upon the public sidewalk, so as to obstruct, hinder, and impede free passage upon the sidewalk as well as impede free ingress/egress to or from the adjacent places of business. Due to those actions and Zacharia Branch’s failure to comply with multiple verbal lawful commands, he was placed under arrest for misdemeanor Obstruction of LEO and received a citation for Obstructing Public Sidewalks.

Thank god we have the police here to protect us from dangerous individual likes this. I feel safer already.

In elementary school we called in dodgeball and everyone was in a circle and you rolled the ball but in junior high we called in prison ball and we chucked those red rubber balls as hard as we could
