People to Punch, Pet Peeves, and General Vexations (mega-merge)

1. Pie and pi are different. If you want to pretend to be "smart" or "nerdy" and celebrate pi day (March 14), then fine. And if you want to serve pie on pi day, then fine... I like pie. But it isn't really that cute. Pie and pi are different. Serve pie on pi day if you want, but they aren't related. It's just kinda dumb.

..then there is hair pie which is completely different yet again.

Latest Celebrity 'Obit' posts

I thought we were just doing famous celebs? Sometimes stretch it to who the fuck territory but semi famous to famous.

War Criminals/politicians are more like El Guapo and on the infamous end of the spectrum. Fuck those people.

I mean the one I'm thinking of fits all the categories. Politician, war criminal, pedo, celebrity....

Ohio woman turns 90, celebrates on roller coaster

Texas Six Flags Roller Coaster to Break Six World Records

The upcoming Tormenta coaster coming to Six Flags Over Texas marks the latest in the race to create extreme theme park thrills amid the company's slumping attendance.

Everything will be bigger — and faster and taller — at a Texas theme park next year.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has announced a rather intense-looking new roller coaster that’s set to break six world records, according to the theme park group.

The Tormenta coaster coming to Six Flags Over Texas will be the tallest, fastest, longest and first-ever “giga dive coaster” in the world when it opens in 2026 (watch the computer-animated coaster preview video below).

The broken records will include: Tallest dive coaster (309 ft), highest 95-degree beyond vertical drop (285 ft), fastest dive coaster (87 mph), highest Immelmann inversion (218 ft), tallest vertical coaster loop (179 ft) and longest dive coaster (4,199 ft). A “dive coaster is a steel roller coaster with a vertical or beyond-vertical first drop (“It’s not straight down, it’s on the other side of straight down,” as the press release puts it).

Just sayin': OK, who would want to ride this coaster?

The act of thinking of songs to list as never want to hear again...makes you hear them again.

Why do that to yourself?

Some parts of me hate other parts of me, and are willing to put up with a little pain to torture the other parts.

I need some clarity on the pizza/pie thing.

Are you talking about someone who always says pie instead of pizza, because if I’m ordering an entire pie, rather than a slice, I’ll say I want a pie when placing the order. But if want a slice I’ll clarify that when ordering.

But if I’m thinking about what to get, I’ll say “want to get pizza?”
It's pretty simple. If you're thinking of pizza, the word "pie" shouldn't come up.

Pie is for dessert.

Which opens up some more pet peeves:
2. My wife doesn't like cake. She doesn't eat birthday cake. On her birthday she insists on pie. Birthday pie. Again, I like pie. I probably like it better than cake. So if you have a reason to make me some pie, then cool. But birthday pie is sacrilegious. You don't put your Christmas presents under the Christmas ladder. You don't give your kids strawberry easter bunnies. You don't put candles in a birthday burrito. Don't put candles in a birthday pie. There is no birthday pie.

Better Know a Buckeye: Ohio State Legacy Mason Wilhelm Rounds Out Buckeyes’ 2026 Class on Interior Offensive Line

163443_h.jpg

Better Know A Buckeye is our look at every member of Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class and how they became Buckeyes as they prepare to begin their OSU careers this fall.

The son of Matt Wilhelm, a former Buckeye linebacker who won a national championship at Ohio State in 2002, Mason Wilhelm is the final installment of this series for the 2026 class.

Depth Chart Outlook

With four starting offensive linemen back from last season and plenty of depth behind them, Wilhelm is unlikely to see significant playing time as a freshman.

Having practiced at both center and guard in his first offseason at Ohio State, Wilhelm could provide valuable depth on the interior offensive line next season, when Luke Montgomery, Carson Hinzman and Austin Siereveld could all be in the NFL. His best shot of earning a starting role will likely come as an upperclassman.

OT Phillip Daniels (All B1G)

I'm looking forward to finding my theory on his play last year was correct. That is, last year, at every snap he had to do his job and keep an eye on Tegra's job. Now that he's got Austin playing next to him, I expect that he'll benefit significantly from being able to be more focused on his responsibilities alone.

I can't think of any other song by Smashmouth. But that's a good one to be on this list. But there are millions of other songs I'd put on it before that one.
And yes, the one you're thinking of is probably near the top.

The act of thinking of songs to list as never want to hear again...makes you hear them again.
