Most of the time planes coming into Port Columbus land coming in from the East. The wind is blowing from West to East and they want to land/takeoff into the headwind. Occasionally the wind is blowing in the opposite direction, i.e. East to West. This makes them land West to East and that landing pattern could put the planes over Ohio State, etc.

P.S. Just be careful and watch out for "blue ice"..........:lol:

LSU Tigers (official thread)

During the football game on October 10, 2026, the No. 10 LSU Tigers (coached by Lane Kiffin) traveled to Kroger Field in Lexington to play the unranked Kentucky Wildcats. LSU brought their signature sideline basketball hoop—which they use to celebrate big plays and touchdowns—and had even customized it with Kentucky's "Power K" logo on the backboard.

After Kentucky stunned LSU with a 35-34 overtime upset victory via a game-winning two-point conversion, two notable things happened regarding the basketball hoop:

1. The Revenge Dunk: As Kentucky fans stormed the field, a Wildcat fan ran over to the LSU sideline, took a ball, and dunked on the hoop right next to the unsuspecting LSU staff to give them a taste of their own medicine.

2. The Stolen Basketball: Following the field storm, Kentucky fans allegedly stole LSU's celebration basketball. Fans later called into a local postgame radio show bragging that the ball was "safe and sound" and making its way deep into Kentucky territory as a ultimate souvenir.

Not nervous at all. Being nervous about a game where I have exactly zero influence makes no sense.

Ohio State has to play better yes. But so does Indiana - Indiana woulda shoulda coulda lost to Nebraska, Ohio State was never really in danger of losing to Maryland....

I know, the risk is worth it when you are netting around 15-20 yards a punt (exactly what I told my friend while I watched this last game). And ditto again on other games, we watched the rest of the games from all over and MAC/Sun Belt schools were doing a much better job with special teams than we are. And I mean like punting and kicking, competition doesn't factor into kicking a damn ball against air (and even at that, we are struggling with it against just as weak of opponents even if somehow it did matter).

Shit has to get fixed, we will drop another game because of special teams if we don't get it fixed.

With six starters sidelined for Saturday’s game against Maryland, numerous backups moved into bigger roles against the Terrapins.

Five-star freshman Chris Henry Jr. made his first career start at wide receiver, while Brock Boyd and Kyle Parker also saw expanded playing time alongside Jeremiah Smith, as Devin McCuin and Brandon Inniss both missed the game due to injuries.

With Austin Siereveld and Phillip Daniels both out on the offensive line, Gabe VanSickle moved from right guard to right tackle while Jake Cook made his first career start at RG.

On the other side of the ball, TJ Alford started in place of Christian Alliegro and played the most snaps among linebackers, while Cam Calhoun made his second consecutive start at cornerback – with Jermaine Mathews Jr. moving to nickelback – as Jay Timmons missed his second straight game due to injury.

As Ohio State pulled its starters late in the fourth quarter, 30 different Buckeyes played at least one snap on offense while 27 Buckeyes saw action on defense in Ohio State’s 45-16 win. Ten other Buckeyes played on special teams only.
