2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Now that Iowa lost, a win vs Indiana = first Big Ten tournament game on Thursday which is huge because it means you don't have a chance to play a bad team that will wreck your tournament chances if you lose.
Obviously we want OSU to have the double-bye; however, there is no guarantee that Iowa will beat the winner of Maryland/Oregon, as the Hawkeyes have already lost to Maryland and PSU this season. Yes, it reduces the odds of OSU having a bad loss there, but it's not guaranteed. I like it more from the standpoint of I do want to see OSU try and compete for the B1G tourney championship, and it's much more likely from a Thursday start. If they can find a way to beat Iowa (or MD/Oregon) and upset UM, I could see them taking the tournament. But those first two games could be the toughest.

If you could change the outcome of one Ohio State football game, which would you choose?

At the 1976 game as well. USC's Student Body right at end was the killer. Change outcome? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, the 1968 tOSU v Xichigan. Worst loss in my vast experience. Give us that win, and we win 3 Natti's. At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
I think you’re thinking of 1969…..

Ohio State at Penn State, Wed. 3/4, 7:30 ET on Peacock

Kenpom ratings shot up after that domination

Before the game Ohio State was 35th with +20.00 rating and was 21st in OFF EFF and 62 in DEF EFF

Now

Ohio State is 29th with a +21.16 rating and is now 18th in OFF EFF and 54th in DEF EFF
Coming into today Ohio State is actually now up to 27th overall.

That is a heck of a move up this late in the season to go from 35th to 27th considering it was against the last place Big Ten team it just goes show that running up the score really pays off.

Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

This was a high ceiling game for me. They outrebounded the Hoosiers by 12 and had 21 assists. Lots of 2-point meat left on the bone offensively, especially early as they came out a bit overamped and heaved some rushed shots from the paint that looked like more like kids throwing rocks off a bridge than basketball players shooting a basketball, but they still dominated. A few posts back I predicted that we wouldn’t get anything out of Kitts this season, but I was wrong as she was quite good and aggressive without excessive fouling defensively. Elsa’s 13 boards (6 offensive) in only 24 minutes and 5 dimes were great, although she rushed a few shots. If she stays strong and Kitts can play like she did today going forward, they just might have a higher ceiling than I’ve thought this year. Really want to get the win tomorrow and see to what extent they can compete physically with UCLA now that Elsa’s boarding hard and Kitts may be able to help there too.
