2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Did you ever think there would be a day where we would cope by saying "At least our loss to Indiana was close!". This is some really wild shit we're seeing.
This is also why I still say this Buckeye defense was hands down the best in the nation. They didn’t have anything close to these performances against that D.

What the cig is even happening? Just out here stomping everyone. They aren’t winning, they’re annihilating.

Twilight Zone, I say.
I really think this is the difference between what Cignetti brings in vs what Day does. Day seems content to play to win by A decent margin. Cig wants to destroy every opponent every quarter of every game. It’s a mentality that leads to true dominant excellence. Day showed some of that last year in his NC run. This year Day lost that edge A bit. I hope we see that evil Ryan Day like we see the evil Cig.

Tired of the 3 star vs 5 star talk. IU is great with a pretty good coach. But, give me the 5 year starting 5 star team vs the 5 year starting 3 star team every day of the week and twice on Saturday. All other team’s 5 stars are in the pros after 3 years if they’re worth a damn. They don’t play until their 23-25 years old

I’ll give Cignetti credit for taking advantage of the new NIL Wild West. He brought in coaches /guys he had coached at his old program and sprinkled in experienced older players. Kudos.

Spare me the culture BS though. This is a bought and paid for run. Which, apparently is what CFB has become based on the current NIL/ Transfer Portal trajectory. It has nothing to do with culture anymore.

Can he sustain it over multiple years, we’ll see.
I can't agree with this. Just my opinion though.
I think that Cignetti has built his organization quite soundly and they have buy in from his staff down to the players.
To have that level of collective engagement, he's created a culture that invites people to work together.

As for sustain, that's the question every winning organization must deal with, and is a perpetual question.
