Disappointing news today about Johnson. That means Diebler has got to add another recruit from the HS ranks for 2026, right? I would think any point guard who's got an open mind would be drawn to the situation at OSU post-Bruce, as you've got a clear starting opening even for a freshman.

Disappointing for sure, but I had kind of thought this might have happened almost a year ago when cousin Meechie didn't have as positive an experience as he had hoped.

It's bad to lose out on your top PG recruit, especially so close to the signing period. Hopefully this is an indication that perhaps Diebler has another guard that's coming. With the Buckeyes losing Bruce Thornton after this season, the PG position will be wide-open, which means this recruiting class is absolutely the one to get the PG of the future.

Visted Miami this past weekend, and it seems like they will be a real threat. His family seems to have ties to South FL and they're looking for another RB commit as well. So expect a possible NIL battle. But there is still a very real possibility that they keep with their hometown obsession of Derek Cooper and chase him until ESD and try and offer as much as possible, letting Latimer flip to OSU(no one has flipped their predications as of yet)
