I still wonder how much of him locking onto Jeremiah is at the order of the coaches. It doesn't seem to be as big of an issue against lesser opponents. But in big games it really comes out.

With every major pitcher back from last year, I think the outlook going into the year in that department is pretty good, especially considering the strides guys made as the year went on last season.

The offense is going to be heavily leaning on incoming JUCO guys to produce. Kaczmar, Eckelman, Simpson, Frucht and Ellis are a lot to replace. The overall success of the season is going to be very dependent on how well those JUCO guys end up producing.

Misreading the D is something that hopefully goes away as Sayin matures - he is still very young. Sayin throws such a catchable ball that if he makes strides in those areas, then we should finish the season out nicely. Especially as our group of new faces grows together as a group.

Sayin not throwing over the middle is a little alarming. I get it's partly because/c Jeremiah lines up outside a lot. But the middle of the field is where Shanahan just punishes teams with Purdy, who is probably Sayin's best case comp

The honor comes ahead of Laurinaitis’ induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in December. The National Football Foundation will also recognize Laurinaitis after the first quarter with its On-Campus Salute ceremony, in which Laurinaitis will be presented with his College Football Hall of Fame plaque.

So easy to forget how fucking good he was with our history but I implore you to go back and watch some highlights or better yet, and some whole games. He absolutely wrecked gameplans every time out. He and Spiels were, imo, the best we've ever had though Cousineau was a different breed as well as Katz.

I think he takes sacks where a lesser passer takes off and gains yardage/first downs. He holds the ball just a beat or two too long thinking that something he can complete will open up (this is, of course, ignoring for the sake of argument that our Block-O jersey apparently renders a receiver invisible inside the hashmarks) rather than running. By the time he's ready to take off, the pocket has collapsed and he's stacked.
