If you find yourself saying "what if" on MoC then you probably didn't see Byars because everything MoC was lauded for (vision, strength, hands) Byars did better, in a bigger body.

2. Byers. Slightly before my time, but he returned kickoffs. You don't see guys that big returning kickoffs normally.
3. Zeke. Like I said, I don't know that he's a "Big Back", but of the guys left, if I'm making a team, I'm picking Zeke ahead of anyone below.
4. Beanie. May have been even gooderer if it weren't for his foot injury. Oh well.
5. Hyde. I don't like putting him this low. I loved this guy. But here he is.
6. MoC. May have been even awesomer. Shoulder stinger didn't stop him from getting to 1,000 yards. Could have gotten to #1 on the list if only his brain had developed sooner.

Former Ohio State Guard William Buford Joins Jake Diebler’s Staff​

Jake Diebler has added an Ohio State basketball legend to his staff.

Diebler announced Monday that former Buckeye guard William Buford will join the program as a program assistant. He played at Ohio State from 2008-12 before spending the next 14 years playing professionally overseas.

I'm putting this here because I found it on their forum, and it shows their arrogance. Not football related at all, though.

OP is grumpy because he was driving through Iowa and got pulled over because his Penn State vanity plate was being partially covered by a license plate frame. I think we've all seen some of these and said, "how is this legal?" Well, it isn't, but no one really cares. Police, included. But the OP has driven a bazillion miles and he just now got pulled over for the first time. SUCH INJUSTICE!!! I'm never eating at this restaurant again!!!

This guy has a rational explanation:

On one hand the frame gives police an opportunity to pull you over and check you out. Additionally, some frames actually cover up part of the plate (state name, or registration tag). Since a lot of states bill you for tolls via camera, they don't like any part of the plate covered.

In 1984 he won the Alaska powerlifting state championship and was crowned the Louisiana state powerlifting champion in 1986 and 1987. After nearly a decade away from Columbus, Dave Richardson is returning to Ohio State.

Jake Diebler has added Richardson as the Buckeyes' strength and conditioning coach, the same position Richardson previously held from 2005-17, the Ohio State coach announced Monday.

Throughout that 12-year stint, Richardson proved to be more than just a strength and conditioning coach for the Buckeyes, as former Ohio State star Deshaun Thomas explained that he provided OSU players with much more than just Richardson's title suggests.

"Coach Richardson was far more than a strength and conditioning coach to us at Ohio State," Thomas told Eleven Warriors. "He consistently challenged us mentally and inspired us to perform at our highest level. He emphasized the values of toughness, discipline, and personal growth, helping shape us not only into better athletes but into responsible and resilient men.

"What distinguished Coach Richardson most was his emphasis on mental fortitude. He taught us how to persevere through adversity, how to continue pushing ourselves when fatigued, and how to compete with pride and commitment for the name on the front of our jerseys," he continued. "He made it clear that mental toughness was every bit as important as physical strength.

"Many of the lessons he taught me remained with me throughout my professional career overseas. In particular, during difficult fourth-quarter situations when exhaustion sets in and the outcome of the game is uncertain, mental and physical preparedness are what elevate performance to another level. Richardson and Diebler were previously on the same coaching staff at Ohio State from 2013-16, when the current Buckeyes' head coach was Matta's video coordinator while Dave Dickerson was an assistant. Now, the three are reunited in Columbus.

I think there's a sweet spot with QB, where the QB can move the pocket and extend plays to hit the open man. And doesn't need to be Michael Vick or Cam Newton, but then also isn't a statue like a Tom Brady.
I think there's also a discussion in this climate in how early do you take a commitment. Because now OSU is left to scramble if they don't believe in Brady.

I will defer to Ryan Day on any question ever involving QB but this sounds like the other side of the coin to the discussion about Underwood and how maybe football has over done it on athleticism at QB and not enough on how to actually play QB. Our resident hardrcore X and O guru said similar things about watching the all 22 film of Sayin iirc.

I have no idea if this kid is that advanced on the true QB part of playing the position or not, just found it an interesting contrast in the same off season news cycle.
