TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee Verbal)

Time will tell, but based on workout videos, I doubt the kid is a soft cookie. I do think that even with all the work that has to be done to be the best it is important to have some fun too and that it’s possible to be too calculated and “professional”. The OSU program does seem to strike the right balance most of the time from my bs view, and the reporting is probably bs, but if it’s accurate, I don’t think DGG’s perception makes him “soft”.

It’s annoyed me over the years how many people get paid off for their bad behavior and/or incompetence and get crazy sweetheart deals. Being fortunate enough to have a defined benefit pension myself, I’m very curious as to what the lifetime expected value of the pension that Manuel is going to get due to their waiving of rules re: duration of employment (and chipping in of cash too) is. That seems like a potentially huge payoff to me (don’t know how old he’ll have to be to start collecting) but is being barely reported on as a throw-in benefit.

Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Making that elbow jumper also allows the cutter in behind her defender once they try to guard it. You could potentially say that this team goes as far as Elsa's improvement takes them. The twins are going to do what they do and do it well which is probably good enough to win 50% of the seasons games. It's Elsa and the other bigs that determine the other 50% imo.

Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

Let the ass whoopins commence!

We'll be doing the Texas Two-Step following the second Saturday of the season. The longhorns wont want to see the Buckeyes cross the Red River again anytime soon. Lol

First one was the JackSaw scoop and score what will this one be? Jeremiah was a Heisman? 8D

Lebron James (Philadelphia 76ers)

probably because he's not anything close to the GOAT he (and ESPN) have proclaimed him to be.

Truly great players make everyone around them better, then in crunch time they take over and dominate. I don't watch NBA anymore but when he was young, I never saw that from LeBron. I actually watched him quit against the Celtics in a playoff round early on (forget the year 09-10 maybe). That was all I ever needed to see.

Russel, Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kobe...they'd die before they'd quit.
Some players HATE to lose. Other players love to win. The players you listed hated losing. I've always believed that Lebron loves winning and that is what has always been missing in his game. Probably goes down as the most physical freak in the history of the NBA, but i don't see him as the goat.

The more I think about this, the funnier it is to me.

I deal with shit like this a lot in my business life at this point so I can almost imagine it. They, apparently, tried to do what I said they'd do and lean on him to take less (thus the ~800K legal bills) and it failed so spectacularly he got every bit of his full benefits (down to golf privileges) and an extra million.

When your power move is so thoroughly trashed that you end up paying the other sides legal AND they put a penalty fee on you....man oh man. Tsun either hired Mother Fucker Jones to negotiate for them or Warde went full Terminator.

TSUN: "Take $3MM and we won't fire you for cause"

"Ok $7MM, full benefits and we'll pay legal fees but that's our final offer"
