well this portion from the article doesn't look good. Tressel also lied to the athletic department, before being confronted with the evidence.

That was also an ESPN article, so we don't know how true those statements are; or how exaggerated the statements are. I've learn to never trust what the media says, or to take with a grain of salt.

man...why didn't he just say something in April. They get suspended for 4 games. Maybe we lose to Miami....who knows.

Worse case scenario we end up 10-2 facing Bama in the Cap One...still a great season.

I still believe there is more to this story then what we are lead to believe. As proactive JT, Smith, and the rest of the athletic dept has been with notifying the NCAA of violations it seems shocking to me that they wouldn't do something with this big of a case. What would hold them back, I have no idea...but i think there is a whole other layer with this that has not been talked about.

Well, we have Barry Switzer's blessings. Excuse me while I go hose myself down with hazmat disinfectant.

The very idea that Jim Tressel is in a situation where Barry Switzer is being asked to comment makes my skin crawl.

I am sorry for y'all having to read that. Like Jack the Ripper saying he supports you in your domestic violence charge.

I find it very hard to believe, almost impossible to me, that JT did not contact anyone else within the Athletic Dept or OSU in general. We obviously don't have any evidence of him contacting anyone else, but i would put money on it that he did.

Look, I am not trying to make up bad stuff, but page 2, second full paragraph, your University says that to the NCAA. Are they lying to the NCAA now for some double-naught spy reasons? No. Let me tell you, I like Tressel, but I stand with tOSU.

It doesn't make JT a bad guy, but it's beginning to be clear that he swallowed this. Many are speculating as to why and trying to come up with "favorable" reasons, but the most obvious potential reason is that he didn't want to lose 2 of his best players. I hate that this might be true, but that's where the evidence points. If that's the case, I'll have to live with that and move on...and accept whatever punishment the NCAA deems appropriate.
