Yeah, you pretty much gotta retire that one.

But hey! We can't use the SEC Bowl Game monkey taunt anymore, so it's a wash.

I'll put up with a lot of shit but I draw the line at taunting our monkey.

What in the name of god has that poor little simian bastard ever done to you guys?

Why does tOSU getting caught committing violations make it less likely the SEC is doing it and not getting caught?

Why does anybody bring the SEC into the discussion? It isn't relevant. People have been pointing the finger at the SEC saying "Cheaters! Cheaters!" for a long time. Now it's come to light that our program is doing the very thing we've accused others of. Seems like the last thing one would do is continue that tired shout considering our program has been shown to display those characteristics. Seems like now would be a good time to shut down that talk permanently.

...and you honestly dont think that victory will be either vacated or forfeited? think about it.

So, use that one while you can! (I guess...)

Also - the whole situation surrounding 'the 5' and the Sugar Bowl - if dealt with in December, would have prevented almost ALL of this. ...so who REALLY won that game?

...how do you think the commish feels - after sticking up for tOSU and 'the 5' ?

I don't accept that statement. Many suspect that some programs in the SEC are paying players through methods approved by the athletic department, and I don't think that tOSU's issues run that deep.

No, I don't have my head in the sand, and I'm not saying that tOSU doesn't deserve NCAA sanctions because of the problems that have been uncovered, but I'm saying that there's a huge difference in my mind between a program that isn't aware of a few players each year who are receiving improper benefits and programs that are orchestrating improper benefits.

We differ then. Turning a blind eye to it seems just as bad to me. I stand by my point that the whole SEC=Cheaters tag should cease for Buckeye fans...we don't have a leg to stand on.

Cheating=BAD

Turning a blind eye = encouraged by current NCAA rules. ... 'I didn't know about it!" defense has saved others arses in the past.

however... the coverup ALWAYS makes things worse

bull shit we don't. you don't see a difference between a school paying 180k for a player vs a player going out and finding the scumbags who will slip you cash whenever you want it?

before Cam Newton suited up for Auburn he had already committed at least 1 violation. Pryor had to find the skeezy boosters after he decided to come to Ohio State (which I'm sure also happens at Auburn).
