Who will be tOSU's head coach on July 1, 2012? (betting closed)

I'd bring up the concept of sample within a larger population but then again, why bother? We both know I'd just be wasting my time.

Speaking of life outside of BP, I saw the Swedish womens soccer team won yesterday. Did you get your new jersey yet?

You keep pointing out Mike is a front runner......when in fact he is a contrarian or he suffers from oppositional defiant disorder...classic case

meh, maybe if taking other people into consideration was a basis for team choosing while going through the process of forming allegiances as a child, you could have been on to something.

it all stems from following of players in the NBA. Apparently, that takes presidence over the 30+ years of servitude towards the other teams I follow. It's a big whatever at this point.

back on topic, Fickell has always seemed like a standup guy, even back during his playing days. For some reason I can buy him not really being involved, or just not knowing what some of the players were doing. But who knows. I just think osu as a whole would be better off without Meyer.

He spent two whole years at OSU as a graduate assistant a quarter century ago. You act like he was here for decades and only recently left. He is most definitely not a "done deal"...

I'm just saying what the TALK is down here in Florida. He had outs in his contract at Utah and Florida which included tOSU. You can argue all you want but he has been very quiet lately. Like I said it's just my opinion but the rumors are flying around a lot here in Florida. I'm no insider just passing info I here to other Buckeye fans.

Gator in 5, 4, 3, ....

He had outs in his contract at Utah for Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame. I don't believe that he had any outs in his contract at Florida. Big time programs don't grab their ankles like a fucking mid-major. If Florida did bite their own ankles, it's a pretty sad indictment of their program.

not a Cleveland Browns/Baltimore Ravens situation. The Rams have been in existence since 1936.

And what city did they start out in? Your loyalty to a team that originated in Ohio is admirable. :wink2:

Do you have some other available count that would constitute for the 90% you know were pissing themselves in fear when RR jumped from the Big East to the Big Ten?
The rather large contingent in Ann Arbor who was furious when Miles was not hired, especially when some unrefined, small-school country boy got the job instead.

There were large factions working against RR throughout his tenure. Now he could have solved that by not failing in legendary fashion (as JT would have been undercut too without 01 in AA & 02 altogether).

Most message board posters did squeal with "oo spread dominates OSU! LOLz!" arguments, many referencing LSU in the process (because nothing says spread & speed like Flynn & Hester.

From what I saw, most of those close to the program held pretty much the opposite viewpoint of the message board fanbois.

Good insight.

Want to get more data.

I'm really concerned about the fire power in terms of offensice assistants.

Basically we swaped Tressel&Hazzel for Drayton (who I have heard good things about.

If Luke comes out of the gate.
Shows a well organized, disciplined, competitive team - I would not be shocked if were given an extension prior to seasons end (post NCAA verdict though).

I think there will be potentially 4 positions on the staff open in 2012 even if Luke is retained.
These hires will be critical for his long term success.
It is my hope that he already has a working short list.

Luke will hire his guys if given the chance in December.

Heacock, Tressel, Bollman are all on the verge of retirement.

Vrabel is an obvious holdover. I like both DB coaches, but he may want a bigger name, especially since he may have more room to open the pocket book. I doubt Fickell commands a huge salary even with a long contract.
