US Open 2009 at Bethpage Black

What is up with the pairings and tee times for this third round....Why are guys with better scores on the course right now and guys with higher scores still sitting? I would thought Tiger would have been one of the first out at +3.

Where do you get immature behavior on Phils' part? I have been around many a pro tournament and Phil is one of the good guys along with Sergio. If you want to talk about immature, fake, suprecilious look up Adam Scott.

Phil takes a lot of shit for how he plays, which I believe is more of an attitude that if isn't first then what is the difference between 2nd and 11th.

As was already pointed out, Tiger gets more media breaks and love than anyone I have ever seen. How many players get that much TV time when they aren't even in a tournament or in contention....

i was wondering the same thing. they are running split tees, so i think they divided the field in half. top half going off on 1, bottom half going off on 10. it seems that they may be sending the bottom half off lowest scores first, while sending off the top half in the traditional fashion of leaders going off last. i came to this conclusion by seeing that the last place players are going off last on the 10th tee.


on another note, i love this crowd.

a few of the guys who made the cut are now +5 because they have started their 3rd round

with that said, i would be ecstatic to see either of them win.

Him and Tiger neck and neck!! Phil was a little po'd when he asked the official about what he thought was an imbedded ball and he had to take an unplayable. He stood there looking at the official like "Hey if I was Tiger that would be plugged show me a little love!!" I love the way the gallery was when the 3rd round times were going off. They were juiced up and it was great. I think the players like a crowd like that as well as long as it doesn't get ugly like it did for Sergio in 02. New Yorkers.....gotta love em!!

when Weaver was playing 2 and 3 the crowd was electric. i can only imagine what it would have been like if the leaders were playing 15-18 of their third round as it was scheduled. this tourney is going to get cheated out of the finish it deserves because of the weather. nothing you can do about it though.

That would be a typical Duval move of recent past. Not only would he fuck himself, he would do it in a span of 5 holes. But he started slipping earlier and bounced back with the same confidence. I don't see him tanking, we're gonn see a lot of double D from now on, IMO.
