University of Wisconsin football (59-0: Deal With It ... or Quit)

Wisconsin and LSU have been in talks to reportedly hold a game at Lambeau Field:
Wisconsin and Alabama announced last month that they would meet in the 2015 Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas. Now, the Badgers are looking at another neutral site game, possibly against an SEC opponent.

Though this one would be much closer to Madison.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Wisconsin is “in the market” for a possible neutral site game at Lambeau Field, with LSU being the opponent of choice for the Badgers. Officially, however, UW had no comment to the paper.

Not surprisingly, however, LSU would prefer to play at a neutral site in Texas:
BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU is having discussions to play Wisconsin in football, but whether or not the Tigers and Badgers square off will be influenced by whether the Southeastern Conference goes to a nine-game conference schedule, LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva said Saturday.

The games between LSU and Wisconsin would be at neutral sites. Possible venues include Reliant Stadium in Houston; Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas; and historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, home of the Green Bay Packers.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Friday that Wisconsin would like to play LSU at Lambeau.

this is yet another reason many LSU fans hate our athletic director.

LSU fans love home games against big name OOC teams.
We also love fun new road trips.

games in Arlington or Houston provide neither.

our fans who made the trips overwhelmingly enjoyed visits to Washington and WVa

fans who went to Dallas for Oregon game by and large said it was "ok".

scheduling them in state of Texas robs us of a good home game.
and robs the fan base of a fun and unique road trip.

I wish we'd schedule a home and home with them.
if they want Lambeau, fine (I'd prefer Madison).
and invite them to Death Valley for a return trip.

both fan bases would enjoy the shit out of it.
both games would absolutely be on national TV.

win/win if we make it happen

I've seen opposing fans pelted with (not empty) beer cans on their way to the stadium. WVU is generally not a friendly atmosphere.

i know several people who made the trip to Morgantown.
they loved it, and had no issues or complaints.

don't know how they treat their conference foes compared to a team like us who they may never play again.

the best game atmosphere I've ever seen at LSU was for Virginia Tech in '07.
it looked like both fanbases went out of their way to make it enjoyable.

they wanted to take in the LSU tailgating atmosphere, and we wanted to show them it was everything it's made out to be.

but on the other hand, I've seen some pretty um.... not nice things happen when SEC teams come to town.

LSU - the place where a guy goes into a porta potty and then fans turn in over while he's in it. I know well enough these days not to show up in opposing gear in Baton Rouge. Plenty of bad shit goes down in Columbus on game day - especially at night, but in Baton Rouge they are capable of kicking it up a notch.

yeah, i saw the porta potty thing happen for the UGA game in '03.
i don't in any way condone THAT happening, but that dude was asking for something to be done.

and I've seen some pretty "heated disagreements" when Auburn came to town in well, every odd numbered year starting in about '95.
