- Notes: Imo, we must find a way to get Nick Conner in this class...we will likely miss on one of the LBs I listed and he is next in line. I realize 27 may be high but with 3 schollies back and accounting for attrition as always, we more than likely end up in the 25ish mark I think. Obviously this list will change a TON but I just wanted to update it with the recent activity.

^^^^ I take exception to your exclusion of Tim Settle in that list. Also, I doubt we take more than 1 DE in the class, and we might very well take 3 DT's. I feel Tim Settle will definitely be one of them.

I actually had Settle on my list initially and trust me, I want to see Settle in this class. For some reason I don't think he comes here (no inside info) but I would love to be wrong...just seems he wants to stay VA or south of there. LJSr could pull some strings though so I certainly don't count us out of it.

But as to the DE/DT ratio, it will be interesting. I think we take 4-5 DL total depending on who it is...that is a # that brings championships. We already have Schutt, Carter, Hill, Munger, Sprinkle, maybe Price, and probably Dylan Thompson. Plus Bosa and Diesel can slide down. Now I of course agree that we need two true DTs in this class, as I think every championship team is strong on the interior DL. That being said, we are in on many elite guys that could play DE or DT. CeCe Jefferson, Adam McLean, and Christian Wilkins could all play either DE or DT. While I think those guys all end up at DT, they could be a strong-side guy like Diesel. Either way, I would take those 3 guys in a heartbeat. DL is a huge wildcard to me, as there are a ton of options that we are in good shape with but nothing seems close to a sure thing. Any of Jefferson, Wilkins, Settle, McLean, Fullwood, Sweat, Cornell, Patchan, McDaniel, and Tuttle seem like realistic possibilities (also DeBerry if he is a DE). Get 3-4 guys from that list and I will be thrilled.

With the way urban and LJsr like to keep pressure on QBs from the Dline, I dont see us ever taking only one DE. The position is valued too highly to keep pressure on theb offense and force turnovers. We need a rotation of fresh guys to win NCs. I could see us taking 1-2 DTs and 3-4 DEs (or guys that are versatile enough to play inside and out like Diesel and Bosa, as RB has stated). But with the spread becoming more popular and LBs being forced to cover in space now and not just run stop, there's a premium on Dlinemen, specifically DEs

I'm fine with picking up 2-3 LB's from this class. two HAVE to pan out from last class. I agree with more focus on DT/DE and of course as always OL

I think my RB wish list would be a "pick 2" out of Damien Harris, Taj Griffin, Allen Robinson, & Jacques Patrick. With that said, I really don't think we could go wrong with any of the guys we have offered thus far this year at RB.

The talent level is so great at RB this year, if you can take 2 elite RBs, you almost have to do so... if for no other reason than to keep them from going elsewhere.

I would also include Weber in that list but agreed, I would be thrilled with any combination of those guys. I think we are in great shape with Harris, Robinson, Patrick, and Weber, plus in the thick of it with Jamabo, so I don't think it is completely unrealistic to think that we can get 2 off that list.

Like the list and it'll be interesting to see how it changes throughout the year. I personally would have 1 less LB or WR and add another TE. But that's a very complete list of guys were in on and filling positions with depth

I can definitely see that as well....especially regarding WR. The emphasis in this class should be on guys that can play outside, which is why I included Peete & Jefferson. Kirk is just a player that you don't pass on, IMO.

Kirk certainly is electric with the ball, but dont we already have a player (maybe not to the level of Kirk's but a notch lower) in EGW who fits that pivot or slot WR role? Kirk, imo is a throwaway commit, where its great of we get him but he's not a need, especially since we have several guys with similar traits. But if Kirk wants in, you just can't say no

I think with certain guys, rankings can indicate that. Im sure Trent Thompson, damien harris and Torrance gibson have OFFERS for example

OSU's 2015 class will be lucky to hit 20. No way they get close to 25, let alone 27. Yes, they get 3 schollies back and there will be some attrition, but there are only 12 seniors in 2014.
