Not when you throw in the time demands of being a top D1 football player.

Tebow should be #1 overall if you believe this guy:

BLOG: Tebow updates at Florida Pro Day - NFL News - FOX Sports on MSN

11:40 a.m. -- There hasn't been a misfire yet. Scouts ask for more work, and boom! Another perfect bomb to Hernandez.

11:36 a.m. -- Tebow to Hernandez on deep seam route ... Great route by Aaron ... Mike Holmgren had a great seat for that throw.

11:35 a.m. -- Tebow hits Cooper on a 45 yard post ... Cooper never breaks stride. Then, right away, he hits Nelson on the same route but opposite side of the field ... in stride.

11:33 a.m. -- Crowd appears to be 3,000 now, and they are cheering every throw. Tebow is really hitting the long out routes. I have to think this is an impressive performance following up a great combine showing.

11:29 a.m. -- He has been on the money on every throw so far. He's hitting the receivers in stride. Tebow is clearly holding the ball higher. He hasn't changed his delivery so much but he's not looping down to his waist on his throws. Tom Coughlin is front and center to watch.

11:28 a.m. -- Tim has obviously done a lot of work on his backpedal, and he looks like a total different player dropping back. Very quick with his feet. Very impressive.

11:25 a.m. -- And so it begins. Tebow is already doing very well in his throws. I heard one scout say "Wow" when Tebow improvised a run after a fake pass rush and threw on a dime 30+ yards down the field.

A Gators scout writer? Surely you're joking. I think a consensus of NFL scouts might have slightly more credibility.

He has the size and strength to be successful ( pardon me, but he has large hands to grip the ball and a strong arm - four years of actual football mean more than some twitter about no arm strength),

Uh, that "twitter" was reporting on the consensus of NFL scouts; he was not reporting his own thoughts (unlike the Gator Scout writer's report). Unless you're suggesting that he must be a liar simply because he was using twitter to quickly report the happenings at the event.

It has to be a cruel, but awesome, joke. Very awesome indeed.

I have to wonder if the draft people who invited him remembered that the first round is on a different day? Maybe he got invited to the second day.

I'm suggesting that a half hour pattern of under-throwing balls while in the middle of a crash course revamping of a throwing motion on a rainy day may not be as accurate a measure of strength as the four years I saw him throwing the ball at UF - to me. He is stronger than many linemen at UF. In fact, some say his desire not to pump up the "Tebow as fullback" thing led him to skip the bench press reps. And while brute strength does not equal a hard thrown ball, there is some relation to strength, and Tebow is the strongest QB around.

Because of the tiring (to non-gators ) Tebow crush comments we have heard for four years, he does not get enough props for being an athlete. He out-jumped Mike Vick in the Vertical jump for God's sake, tying the all time QB combine record.

So while I can certainly accept the possibility that Tim may have a weak "arm" - as the term is separate and distinct from his ability to lift a number of reps at 220 - I happen to believe that a freakishly strong guy like Tim may have under thrown the ball a bit because he is learning to throw a different way, and that he will get better as his physical memory takes over and he can concentrate on throwing hard, as his motion will be better ingrained and not so much a conscious decision thing like it is now.

He has problems galore, but a lack of arm strength I do not think is one of them, despite under-throwing some guys today.

They watched him for 4 years at UF too, in addition to struggling with his velocity all week in Mobile.

Brady Quinn is a beast also, that doesn't mean he has a great arm.

Probably because the athleticism is more bruising than it is dynamic. Folks don't get excited about short yardage backs and h-backs the way they do with electrifying speed guys.

Sources: Tim Tebow workout earns him trip to NFL draft - ESPN

watching Tebow sit and wait and not be picked for a long time is going to be more entertaining then when it happened to Brady Quinn

Fortunately, Tim won't care at all. And if he does, he won't show it. He knows his status, and has all of the knowledgeable advisers you could ask for telling him in what round he will likely be picked. IOW, the fact that he won't get picked in round one is likely not a surprise to him, but he doesn't have a problem putting that aside to make the NFL and the networks happy, even if you and sushi are jumping up and down laughing.

Those sort of relationships with sponsors and networks can work out to his benefit in the longer run.

I don't now anybody at UF who thinks he is a first rounder.

Case in point, this video shows a college QB with a pretty nice arm. However, as a NFL prospect, it's not that great. (note, I couldn't find a useful video with 06 clips, all had slow-mo or field level views).

TIM TEBOW UNVEILS NEW THROWING MOTION - Every Day Should Be Saturday

EDSBS take on UF pro day :slappy:
GAINESVILLE, FL: SCOUTS ASSEMBLE at Florida's pro day.

PR Flack: Now Tim, if you'll show us your old throwing motion, please.
Tebow winds up and throws.

Scout one: Guh!
Scout two: /throws up
Todd McShay: /slaps Tebow, throws up, dabs mouth with ESPN handkerchief.
Tebow: I forgive you.
But my favorite:
Todd McShay: At best. I hate you even more than I did before, Tim Tebow.
Brandon Spikes takes ten seconds to run the thirty feet between him and Todd McShay at full speed, and gouges McShay's eyes out.
Todd McShay: THAT STINGS, BRANDON SPIKES, BUT MY PAIN WON'T MAKE YOU ANY LESS SLOW.

Apparently the sneaky Gators do the bench press with 5 less pounds than everybody else. I'll bet they only run 39 yards.

And Tebow tried to re-take the Wonderlic around 2 a.m. this past Sunday morning, in order to get an extra hour on the timed test, but he was confused with which way the clocks were moving.

Here is what Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren said about Tim Tebow:

"Clearly, he's a special young man. I got a chance to visit with him for the
first time and I thought he worked very very hard. You can tell he's trying
to make adjustments to his motion. That seems to be what people are
fired up about, and he's working very hard to do that. and it showed
today. I thought he had a pretty good workout.

It appears to be that he's made some adjustments in a very short period
of time, and he's got good guys working with him. I would say this,
though. If you look hard enough at anybody - we can be really picky about
stuff. You've got to be careful about losing sight of the big picture and
what kind of a player he is, what kind of a winner he is and what kind of a
person he is. There's a lot of good about this young man. We'll see how it goes.

Just what Cleveland needs...another frickin' closet case.
