Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Just got back from the coast, belated 35th anniversary. Had some good meals in Cambria, and on one night, wifey and I weren't too hungry (nibbles with wine tasting at some good places. Anyway, waited in line for Sea Chest, excellent seafood restaurant, got shut out on a table, but person ahead of us told us about a good chowder place in town. Went there, and had an excellent clam chowder, and some sourdough. Ate our fill, and saved $150 (which we spent on wine the next day).

Was grocery shopping at Aldi last week and happened to be getting meat when they brought out like 20 racks of spare ribs that were fast approaching their sell by date. Got like 7 racks for $15. Smoked a couple already. Doing some more this weekend and watching some Olympics
Aldi ribs are 50/50 man.

Opened many a pack that smelled like a dead animal.

Woah what a steal lol…

I remember maybe a few years ago I went to Aldi and got boneless/skinless chicken thighs for .99 per pound or something wild. Literally bought like 15 packs or something.

LSU fans would disagree.

I still find the "corndog" nickname for LSU fans comical.
also find it comical that LSU fans have pretty much embraced it and just ran with it.

LSU games are a culinary wonderland, and I doubt (prior to the nickname catching on) that there were very many corndogs being served.
I'm guessing the Auburn fan that started that shit didn't realize that we deep fry EVERYTHING. And what he was smelling was some other sort of fried awesomeness that his hick brain cell couldn't fully comprehend.
