Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Romania is a head scratcher on that list. Slavic with a splash of Turkish influence? Gotta seek out some recipes.
If you're going to judge cuisine by 20th c stereo types than the US is known for saltly, overcooked meat and soda pop; or fast food and soda pop, no? (although one could always find alternatives the US and UK have certainly stepped up their game--and soda pop is evil).
Ethiopian sour bread.
Venezuelan arepas.
The best reason to maintain the silly boycott of Cuba is to keep Cuba free from Yank fast food.

Romanian sounds like Macedonian. Sausage and cabbage, but with more middle eastern spices. It’s certainly different, but I don’t see how it’s above South American fare.

Romania is not Slavic. It's a romance language like French or Italian. There's certainly some Slavic influences, but the people are not Slavic.

I knew it was a Romance language but have always been under the impression the culture was more Slavic. I've had some rather impressive (for the price) Romanian wines (had a guy try to sell me on importing them. I passed. Dozen years later I ended up picking up a Bulgarian importer. Those wines did surprisingly well.) but nothing in regards to food. Genuinely curious. Quick search hasn't yielded much. Must be something that lands them that high on even the most cursory list.

I believe the oldest amphora used for wine were found in Romania.

Not Romanian food but the owner is Romanian. Pretty much a Greek/Italian fusion. Highly recommended if you're ever in Gilbert AZ

Nice. I'll mark it in my Google Calendar in case I'm in the area.

The ambiguous "Euro-food" name made me think of a great Eastern European/Russian restaurant I went to in Arlington Tx before going to a Texas Ranger' game a while back:
