Made me think of the infomercials where a corpulent Sally Struthers begged people to donate money to feed "impoverished children":

D.R. has good food too. Not just the transplants in the US, but also in the country itself (at least in the Puerto Plata/ Sousa beach area). And no Cuba?
Puerto Rican food is trash, at least the stuff I tried. It's either way too salty or way too sweet.D.R. has good food too. Not just the transplants in the US, but also in the country itself (at least in the Puerto Plata/ Sousa beach area).
Figure that they could at least crack a top 50 list somewhere (even if its towards the bottom of the list).
Can't say that I've had a lot of it. I think I tried Cuchifritos once before long ago. It was extremely salty.Puerto Rican food is trash, at least the stuff I tried. It's either way too salty or way too sweet.
Everything I ate was either anchovy salty, there was rice and fried bananas and dessert was always a bread pudding like pastry. Overall out of all the ethnic food I've eaten it was the least impressive. Worse than UK food.I have to disagree with that. Been there many times. Food is great, unless you are worried about your cholesterol.
Thailand at #21.
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnope.
Speaking of Thai food (and my agreement with your comment on #21 being too low for it), I stopped at a great Thai place in Buckhead yesterday for lunch while running errands:
For some reason, in the past, every time I'd eat at a Thai joint for the first time, I would always order a pad thai. Yesterday, I decided to do something different, and got the Pad Ka Pao (Basil Ground Chicken)
It was fantastic.
Another great Thai spot in the area (if you ever come down to Atlanta to see the Buckeyes play in a CFP game at the Mercedes Dome) is Bangkok Station.
I prefer the food at Tamsung a bit more (though I only had one dish), but as you can see, the parking situation is non-existent and is a hole-in-wall, whereas Bangkok station has a much better parking situation and is more of a sitdown for dinner type of place. (Tamsung is near Buckhead Triangle where there are/were quite a few bars, so I imagine it's a drunk munchie place for many).
