The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Meh, they went off comic, but there's parts of it they are trying to get back. Don't know how the hell they are going to write the story from here since the group is supposed to get chased off and find a new home, similiar to woodbury minus crazy ass gov. Overall, I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't as upset as say Kyle was. The fight for the prison was a let down but the initial attack on the prison in the graphic novel was as well, though in the books the gov never goes nuts and executes everyone for fun. They are trying to get some of the focus that was in the graphic novel, namely that Carl becomes an emotionless sociopath as time goes on, and the group comes to realize that the deadliest things out there aren't the zombies, but themselves.

I won't say it was the best episode ever, but I will say that they got rid of Andrea and that made me happy.

So many ridiculous things in that finale I don't even know where to begin. Utterly disappointed though.

First off, thank god Andrea is dead but seriously she deserves to be after conversing and taking her good old time while Milton is dying. Then when he turns she has that "OMG WHY IS HE A ZOMBIE" reaction and decides NOW she should hurry?

And the thing that bothered me the most? The "trap" they set in the prison. They should have been able to kill almost every single one of the Woodsbury people in that but yet they killed one, maybe two? Then they all ran out some magical side door and ran off like they just got wiped out. I also love how one episode they're all sharpshooting snipers and the next they can't hit any of 40 people lined up feet in front of them with an automatic weapon?

Ugh...terrible terrible writing.

First Breaking Bad gets a spinoff, and now The Walking Dead is getting a "companion series." It isn't set to debut until 2015, but here's what we know already: the show will still take place during the zombie apocalypse, but the new series will feature "an entirely new story and cast of characters." Comic book writer Robert Kirkman is on board to produce along with two fellow The Walking Dead executive producers. Kirkman commented, "The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing." Sounds like even fans of the book series won't have a clue about these new folks.

Well they are running towards where the Comics are, so they gotta do something, I am sure they can drag out the Prison for another season now that they have a whole prison full of people to whine, but next season they are going to have to make the move on to Alexandria as that's a huge change in the plot line and the attitude the survivors gain.
