Wow, so there was an hour of my life I will never get back. Absolutely NOTHING happened of note. At all. I mean that was like a 1 hour trailer. I guess we have:

-blondie that Carl wanted to bag was bagging some other dude, but she is now more unfeeling than even he is now apparently

-speaking of which, the dude she was bagging is now dead from trying to save another dude no one cares about. We are apparently supposed to care

-The African-American dude who is bagging his chick from last year is also bagging some other chick now?

-Dude with the glasses who no one cares about is dead

-Crazy hermit bitch with a walker husband (who just happens to live in a tent near the prison :lol:) got Rick thinking...he was a crazy bitch?

-Credits

WTF was that? This is going to be a long, horrible season if this continues. I am afraid this show is going to go the way ER did about season 7...went from a compelling medical drama to a love story soap opera with a little token action thrown in. Do not want.

Hopefully this episode was just a set up of things to come, and I think it will be, but they still could have done way more for this.

Having Rick tend the farm all day instead of going out with the group seemed unrealistic, that guy has to be in the thick of it.

Seems clear glasses boy is going to start chaos in the jail, and the previews seem to indicate most of the people die except for "the originals" who are forced out of the prison again and on the run. All of that is fine by me as the show is much more entertaining when they are on the run somewhere and not sitting in a jail. Was a huge fan as the show had so much promise, but now I only watch out of blinded hope, which is usually what I do at 1PM on Sundays as well.

I just read that this was the first episode of yet another guy being in charge of the show, so I guess it will probably take him a few episodes to get going. Still, with a season only being like 13 episodes, they don't have long. I guess pestilence is the new foe to combat, kind of an old school Middle Ages plague feel coming, which again could be interesting or could be...awful.

I tried. I keep wanting it to be the show from the first six episodes. That was a fucking mess. The store made no damn sense. So the walkers on the roof didn't just walk right off when they heard the boom box? Why the fuck not? They're now aware of height? Did the helicopter crash into the roof? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGH!

Nevermind the fact that the walkers apparently hadn't ever wandered to that part of the roof before, and that a fucking HELICOPTER CRASH hadn't caved in the roof, but those extra 150 pounds of flesh, well that did the trick :lol:
