The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Anyone else think that the dead blonde Darryl had to put down was Beth? When I saw her alive later I was surprised. Pretty good show in terms of zombie mayhem and this new element is pretty interesting to me. And I like that you figure out Rick was doing his best to go back to his old domesticated life but figured out he can't. I'm back in it.

So Rick now reminds me of Benjamin Martin from "The Patriot". Tries to be a farmer, but he's still a soldier/sheriff inside. Good character depth, he is one of the few that makes the show watchable. Also Michonne is finally getting some depth and backstory...apparently she lost a child, which is something they can go back to later. Also I liked the arc of whole Dark Ages plague panic thing of burning the bodies, possibly alive, to prevent the spread of infection...kind of goes to a dark place and seems like something they can build on...like maybe the Utopia is anything but, and that they are finding out that the Governor was a rampaging, sociopathic prick, yes, but that running an establishment and keeping people safe is anything but easy. SOme of the zombie scenes were good too.

Those are the positives. The negatives are still there. Some of the scenes seemed to make no sense and did nothing...I mean, like the one of Glen taking the stupid picture of Maggie...WTF? What did that accomplish? Why are you wasting film on stupid shit like that? Also, so someone is feeding the zombies rats. Who is it and why? I thought it would have been Carl's little Apocalypse Barbie, but all of a sudden she is acting all human now. It's like the characters go from sociopathic menace to loving community piece in the span of one episode. Makes no sense. So I am assuming it was the girl who lost her dad but was whining about Harry Potter? I'm sorry, but those two kids, and the entire Carol story arc (Don't tell Rick I am teaching kids about knivez!!1!1!!1!) are annoying as fuck. Looks like business is about to pick up next week...could be good, or really bad.

Yeah, so I would be super pissed if the girl I was dating got sick and somebody burned her (potentially alive) without even giving me some kind of advanced notice.
Yeah so the question is who went all 14th century? I wish I had saved my DVR, because there weren't that many people who knew about the flu or the isolation. Maybe the new African-American doctor guy?

Dude at the CDC told Rick that everyone is a carrier. So no matter what you die of, you zombify upon death. Which is why it's fucking ridiculous that anyone sick would be left alone

I knew that but i was just wondering how he could go from perfectly healthy to dead in one day. I was referring to the illness that comes after a bite which kills you fairly quickly being somehow airborne.

From what I could tell, only a small group of people ever knew that the woman was in quarantine and knew who the other guy was whom she said was sick also. I think it was Glen, Marshall, Carol, not sure who else.

It had to be one of them and the most likely one is Carol who is now gung ho and personal safety. As for the rats, I'm just going to assume it's the older of the two girls whose dad died and now I will just hope she dies a slow painful death at the teeth of her younger sister who also becomes a zombie, and then both proceed to receive arrows through their skulls from Darryl.

They said from the height of the rats and the flashlight, they don't think it's a child on The Talking Dead. I think it's going to be the other new black guy. I think his name is Bob. Also of The Waterboy fame. He seems kind of aloof and strange
