The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Meh. I can’t get past mom leaving her kids alone to go find Rick.

I see that being the common complaint among fans but if she's been informed that they took care of the Whisperers and that all is good back home that might make it somewhat believable. Not to mention if you thought you lost your SO and there's a chance you could bring them back, to meet their child they didn't even know existed no less, I think you would at least entertain the idea given you found evidence of where they may potentially be.

Also, let's not forget. This is a TV show. Danai is focused on movies now she can't spend 8months in rural Georgia anymore so they had to find a way to write her off and keep her in line for the movie(s).

Yes I know, I just think they wrote her off poorly. I thought the episode was underwhelming too...the acting was ok, but given everything she’s been through...let’s just say there no way that limping fuck gets the best of her, even temporarily.

Announced today that Season 11 will be the final season.

To summarize...

Season 10 Finale airs October 4th.
6 additional episodes of Season 10 to air early 2021.
Season 11 to start late 2021 and run 24 episodes through 2022.
In total 31 more episodes over 2 years to finish the show.

They also announced that on top of the 2 season spin off "Walking Dead: World Beyond" they will be starting another show focusing on Daryl and Carol after TWD ends likely beginning in 2023. To top it off they also have plans for a "Tell Tale" series that focuses on origin stories of existing characters or short stories about new characters. No news of the Rick Grimes movies but I am guessing he will reappear in Season 11 to finish out the series.

Not sure how many still watch the show but under Angela Kang the last two seasons have been remarkably good IMO - and thank god after the shit Gimple put us through in Seasons 7-8.

It’s good they’re ending it, and good they know when they’re ending it so they can hopefully avoid the shit endings of so many series. It’s certainly been better under Kang than the giraffe abortion that was Gimple running the show, but it’s been too much love life soap opera bullshit for my liking.

I hope they do something good post-whisperers, though I’m not really sure what that will be. We’ve had the “find new place, have conflicts between groups of people” beaten to death, not confident there’s anywhere else to go.

If a zombie falls in the woods and nobody is there it hear it does it make a sound? I quit a few episodes after Rick left and wish I had done it sooner.
It's still the highest rated show on cable so I'm not sure the zombie falling in the woods analogy works in this instance, but obviously the ratings are significantly lower than pre-seasons 1-7.

:slappy: so after ALL of that, literally nobody died except the Oceanside girl no one really cared about anyway? :slappy: talk about a complete troll job. I had high hopes for this show under Kang, but that may be it for me.
