Oh, come on. I mean, do we look like the sort of chaps who'd creep into a camp at night, steal into someone's tent, anaesthetise them, tissue-type them, amputate a leg, and run away with it?

Now, that's not funny...running away with someone....else's.....leg....lol

I thought maybe it was because there were so few of them, they couldn't eat a whole Bob at one sitting. So, this was their solution to keeping dinner fresh without refrigeration or a smokehouse. On the hoof, as it were.

We joke, but still, that whole scene was grim as all hell.

And, yes, I think Bob is infected. Him getting bit couldn't be a red herring. It follows the Dale story arc from the comics, I think.

That would particularly make sense due to the scene when Bob gets caught...he is sitting outside the church having a come to Jesus moment (there is a joke there somewhere) and watching the group. Pretty sure he was having one last moment to look at the group before leaving to turn.

But yeah, I have heard a lot of people kind of angry/grossed out over the BobBBQ scene and I kind of get that, but it wasn't like they actually showed any of it. I was ok with it because really you thought the shock value could not get much higher after the previous episodes...then that happens.

If he were bitten, he'd be the slowest turning zombie they've had so far. Also...if he were bitten on the leg, by the time he got back to camp, chilled with everybody, went outside, got knocked out, dragged back to camp, and THEN amputated? No. Herschel's leg needed to be cut off right then or it would have spread. Same deal goes for him.

I'm buying into OH10's theory of them knowing him somehow from before. It makes the whole "cosmic justice" speach make a little bit more sense.

They cut off Hershel's leg to stop the infection from spreading.

But, remember the guy from the original camp who was bitten during an attack? The one who was out digging graves before they knew they needed them? He was sick a long time. They had him in camp, then on the bus on the way to the cdc. He's the one they left by the roadside at his own request, and he still hadn't turned. If you aren't killed, you don't turn all that fast.
