The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Agreed. It's actually worth watching. Anytime a former cast member of The Wire appears on a show, I root for them. So Cutty and Carver are my dudes.

It would appear Cutty didn't kill that dude. Which is kinda ridiculous. But it's a minor thing.

So from Terminus, we get the hunters. I can dig that.

Anyone else not trust Morgan? I just don't believe he made it back to normalville after an extended stay in the batshit hotel. Somethings. ..off.

I'm wondering if the terminus people were some of the perish people under Father Gabriel. Their backstory was that they were very religious, and they somehow either tracked the group or they coincidentally were going to pay the Father a visit and ran into the group. Still not sure yet about the markings on the trees.

Did I miss something, or did Morgan have more of an appearance than just showing up at the end of the first episode? And maybe being the figure in the shadows? Or are you just talking in general for the eventual meeting between him and the group?

Rick met back up with him in some little town. Duane had died. There were crazy scribblings all over the walls inside the house, shopping carts and shit set up on main st to trap walkers. Rick tried to persuade him to come, but Morgan was checkdd out.

So we have the iconic Hunters. Sounds like a plan. Thought it ead interesting though that the writer people have said that Gareth's group "remains dangerous" but that they are NOT the main antagonists in season 5. So they'll either hit and run (or hit and eat) or else something big will go down fairly quickly.

I see we all called tyreese not killing the dude. Interesting thought I had though...do you think Bob got bit in that food pantry? He was acting squirrely as soon as that was over, he got what looked like a goodbye kiss before separating at the end and balling...its like he knew he was a gonber before he got taken.

I'm speculating since they've changed some details around here, but based on past character deaths, I guess Bob had somewhat of an arc with Rick as they were going to the food pantry? That was his final speech I would guess, at least that's kind of how they seem to do it when characters were about to die in the past like Hershel. The goodbye kiss seemed to point that direction too. If he doesn't die next episode, he's probably gone soon I would guess.

I was about to write this show off but damn if that was not two great episodes. I am fully invested again (don't let me down again AMC). A lot of great story archs and great acting. Is it weird that I think Bob getting eaten is ok?

SPOILER ALERT (maybe?): I heard that in the books, Judith has a really bad fate and soon. I would not be shocked if the guy Tyrese gave an olive branch to ends up being the person that does it.

If I remember what I read about the comics (haven't read the books, just recaps) Judith and Lori both died in the prison because of an attack from the Governor, so she would already have been gone if they were following the original story.

Anyway, shame on Ty for not finishing the guy off. You can't afford to let monsters live.

To Bucklion's point about Bob--I thought he was bitten. When he went outside to cry, I was expecting him to lift his shirt and inspect a walker wound. So, I was wondering if you eat an infected person, do you turn the same way a bitten person does? Would serve 'em right.

Oooo, and that makes Tyreese snap and start smackin' dudes with his hammer? Not a bad theory, Tyreese is kind of a puss right now, reminds me of Rick before he snapped in season 4.

What were the hunters referring to when they were saying it was fitting that Bob is the one they ended up catching first? Was he leaving bread crumbs for them or something?

I believe he's referring to Bob's group being the ones who destroyed Terminus and forced them to go back out and live in the woods and hunt for food. He said it was "cosmic justice that it be you." I think he's just saying since it was their fault they were out there, it's only fair one of them get eaten first. That's how I saw it.
