That’s the issue. UGA wasn’t punished at all for losing by 20 to LSU. They dropped from 2 to 8.
One loss, non-champion Ohio State got in the following year. That was 4 years ago 15 happened so Big 10 has been relegated to 3 rd conference and trending to 4.
Go back through this thread, its detailed multiple times where SEC teams dont drop as far from losing an jump more from winning. Hell, NW dropped 2 spots before playing us even in a win.You beat *ichigan like Craig James beats hookers, and scUM dropped 3 spots. You beat Northwestern handily and that was a drop of one. Why is the Georgia example a sign of the rigged SEC, and the latter two examples seen as sound and prudent ranking? A night Game at Death Valley is considered one of the toughest venues in college football. I once suffered temporary hearing loss after a night game there. And at the time the loss was Georgia's first of the year after almost winning the whole enchilada the year before.
Georgia dropping 6 after its loss to LSU is far worse than scUM dropping 3 after its loss to tOSU why again? Not saying that the SEC does not get favorable treatment, but I am saying that you guys often seem to turn a blind eye to facts applied to other conference (including your own) - yet cite similar SEC treatment as proof of the BP SEC conspiracy theory du joure.

I don't know--I'm not sure I see any valid argument for ranking Georgia ahead of OSU. OSU was a conference champ to Georgia not being a conference champ, OSU had one loss (albeit an awful one) to Georgia's two losses, and OSU has a better slate of wins than Georgia (vs. #7 Michigan, @ #12 PSU and neutral-site against #22 Northwestern > vs. #9 Florida, @ #14 UK, vs. #23 Missou).
That was just the most blatant example. No worries, I’ll dig deeper.
Any other team in the country struggles against trash opponents, and they’re punished and drop spots. Untouchable SEC struggles against trash opponents and gain spots left and right.

Take a step back and do the math on how much additional revenue a 9th round of games generates for the conference. It doesn't but the 9 game conference schedule is an unnecessary disadvantage for Big Ten teams and one SEC and ACC teams don't have to deal with.
GA above OSU is a joke. The committee's rationale continues to bob around from year to year. In 2015 an OSU with one of the greatest collections of talent in CFB history, held back by a terrible offensive coordinator, but still only 1 close lose to a playoff team, misses out. But of course Alabama gets in last year without winning its conference.
Baka will always get the benefit of the doubt because they’re the current kings of CFb. Clemson takes care of business during the season and rarely loses in conference, if OSU did the same then they would have a spot guaranteed every year. Clemson doesn’t consistently lose to teams like NC State and a Duke though like OSU does, not sure why OSU fans don’t get this. The SEC will ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt, like it or not. So every other conference needs to go undefeated to make the CFP. It’s not rocket scienceThe playoffs in 2014 were 4 places.now it’s diwn to with Clemson and Alabama having automatic bids.
By this logic why should OU be in over OSU?One might check the eye test.
tOSU ALMOST lost to unranked MD..... SHOULD have lost to MD with a decent 2pt throw.
tOSU was WAY DOWN with 8min left to top 20 Ped State. A near miracle allowed us to pull it out.
tOSU almost let an unranked Nebraska take them in the 4th quarter.
tOSU got abused by nobody Purdue.
GA squeaked by playoff bound ND..... easily could have lost.
GA got abused by top 20 LSU, similar to ito loss to Purdue...... but not Purdue.
GA took overrated but ranked KY and FL without any problems.
GA gave Bama all it could handle and easily could have won the game.
When you look at it, tOSU could EASILY be 10-3 (both PSU and MD were VERY, VERY close to losses.)
We've looked great in the last couple of games but have we forgotten that MANY of us expected losses during the Ped State and MD games?
