Game Thread THE GAME: Ohio State 42, Michigan 7 (Nov. 22)

One of the best things I saw, (outside of the game itself), was the 'fg competition' at the north endzone during halftime, and the closed-end block o messing with the michigan kicker :slappy:
that was hilarious

It started with their idiot kicker coming out during halftime while our band was still on the field. He was getting ready to kick when he had to move out of the way for the band. When he finally got enough room to kick one, the net wasn't up so it went into the student section....where they took turns throwing it farther and farther back into the stands :slappy:

After he finally got the ball back (or another ball?) he kept missing and the SS got louder and louder.

I got to looking back at our schedule and results. We had 4 blowout wins, and 3 of them were to send a message.

The 1st was a 43-0 win over Youngstown State. No message.

The next 2 were on the road. 45-7 @ MSU and 45-10 @ NW. Guess which 2 Big Ten teams drop off our schedule the next 2 years? We gave them both beatings that will last for these next 2 years.

The 4th was 42-7. Message will be sent for years to come.

Poor YSU. We kicked a lot of field goals that game. That is what I LOVE about this team. Early in the season we were settling for field goals. By the last game of the season...6 TDs, 0 FGs. Here is to TP being a TD machine next year...and in the years to come. Here's to Pryor becoming the 3rd QB in a row to leave OSU with a perfect record as a starter against Michigan!

So if Tressel outscores TSUN by more than they outscored Cooper, will that "erase it"?

I ask, because JT only needs to win by more than 12 points next year to do that.

...................................................................................................

Ohio State has now outscore TSUN 606-603 since Woody left.

If he wins in 2009 and 2010, The Series will be all even at 44 games each (with 4 ties) since 1919, the year of Ohio State's first victory over TSUN.

OSU also kept the redshirt on Goebbel. He is going to be a beast. I wonder how many other programs would have burned the redshirt for a quick fix on the line rotation.
