Show me where they win 6 games and get Bowl eligible?
Well, to be fair Tao, that schedule contains only ten games. Apparently, the Wolverines still need to schedule a couple of MAC patsies ... but after the Toledo debacle, they should choose wisely.

Indiana is a gimme victory ... Ohio State and Penn State are losses. The other seven could go either way right now. They might go 5-5 with that schedule ... toss in a couple of cupcakes and they're bowl eligible.

On the other hand, I could see a virtual repeat of 2008, depending on defections and talent development (or continued lack thereof). Should be interesting to watch....

What a way to win and we still own tsun.
Five in a row for Jt over the evil empire ! This game lived up to every expectation I had going into Saturday.
I am so proud of the men and the way they played. I also thought the intensity level on both teams was as high as it could be. I got excited just watching them. After tsun missed their Fg attempt I couldn't believe how many guys were jumping all over the field.
I 'm very , very happy.

A lot of people have talked about the potential of the rivalry being diminished because scUM is not holding up its end of the bargain, and even expressed fear that a blowout would only accelerate that. I agree that is becoming a bit of a problem, but I was sure glad to see a blowout win against those guys. I came of age as a Buckeye fan during the early Cooper years. I had never seen the Buckeyes dominate the Wolverines on the scoreboard like that. It was a long time coming. It's a shame that it came against their worst team ever instead of putting it on them when they were playing for something important - but it's still 42-7. 42-7 against M*ch*g*n is something I had never seen, and it's special.

Go Blue! Ohio State is at the end of their cycle, Michigan WILL win next year, and for the years to follow. MARK MY WORDS!
Oh brother - I see the TSUN spin cycle has started anew.

Uh huh. You know that Jim Tressel has more victories at The Big House than Rich Rodriguez?
:slappy:

Nice statistic.

End of our cycle? Dumb ass, the past six years was just a warm up! This team is going to be so loaded through the next three or four seasons at least you'll be begging for mercy. You'll fondly remember 42-7 and long for the days Tressel only beat you by 35.

Dryden doesn't normally get this het up - we ought to make the spread for tOSU @ TSUN one of the pre-season vBets.

The best win in a long time, made even sweeter by them woofing at us at every oppo. I loved how James smacked the center around after that bs hold.

So proud of the men, so happy that Todd got in and performed with the class and dignity that is his legacy at The Ohio State University.

And man, I am fired the fk up for the next few years. TP is going to be a beast. The game will slow down, he'll speed up, and I think we'll settle some scores nicely.

Michigan leftovers

I apologize for not getting the Illinois tale of the tape done last week. I've broken down the first three quarters, and I'll finish up and post that later today, if anyone still cares.
The Michigan tape review will have to wait, we're heading out of town for Thanksgiving, so I'll complete that next week.
Anyway, here were a few things I found while picking through my post-game notebook from Saturday:
-- Terrelle Pryor was asked if he could imagine winning all of his games against Michigan. His response was revealing:
"I don?t know, it?s a great program and we'll see. Next year, it's going to be a fight going to Ann Arbor, just like every year. I'd like to go three, but you never know."
Did you catch that? He said, "three" not "3-0" but that's what I assume he meant. It should not be a shock to hear that Pryor is only planning to be in college for three years, but it surprised me to hear him be so matter-of-fact about it as a freshman.

Thanks...

I just want to thank the defense for hating Michigan as much as the fans do. I know the Ohio State offense hates Michigan too, but there are still some things to work out with them.

I don't think enough can be said about the defense. Not sure if it had something to do with Michigan's suck or what, but every hit from the Buckeyes in this game was a hard hit. You heard pads crack on every hit. I don't think the defense has played that hard in quite a long time. Tackling through the ball carrier, playing the man, and overall kicking ass. There was fire, intensity, and they looked like they were having fun.

If they can play that hard in a bowl game (especially if it's a SEC team), I have no reason to worry about the outcome. :oh:

:io: Just a different level of intensity out there for scUM week. The guys were definately bringin' it every play (well except for that one break they seemed to take on scUM's TD drive). :wink2:

I loved watching the ST's hitting the most! The improvement from last year with that group has been fun to watch. Lane is the man by the way! :)
