Tajh Boyd (official thread)

I don't know that it was so much a case of Boeckman as it was an offensive line that just couldn't get the job done working with a drop back passer and with Beanie in street clothes. Pryor's ability to run without much support from the line was the obvious hope. "Throw the kid out there and let's pray for a miracle."

Without the change I think Boeckman might have set a Big 10 record for getting your bell rung.

As per Bill Kurelic, Tajh will be visiting Oregon this weekend.

Not the best of times to be heading out here. Winter storm occurrences are really hitting.

The thing about UO is that the facilities are tremendous (according to word of mouth), but Eugene leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not seeing this as his end destination even though he fits Kelly's offense quite well.

It's been wild out here. The weather's reminded me of my time in Michigan, and that's extremely rare.

And these natives haven't a clue about how to drive in anything besides dry, wind, and sometimes rain. Two tractor trailers jack-knifed just south of Portland this morning. If Tahj visits, then he might be in for an extended stay as the possibility of closing PDX is a definite possibility.

FTR, they don't plow nor salt out here. Apparently, they do drop heated sand and gravel for traction.

Winter storm warning... I hope everyone is safe. I bet his comic book looks awesome. If Tajh Boyd isn't a good comic book hero name I don't know what is. Problem is a Boyd duck would be a mallard and I just never liked the sound of that word. The etimology makes me think of bad fat.

I like Eugene but there isn't a whole lot to it other than UO. That can either be a positive or negative.

FYI, that winter storm warning is for the East side of the Cascades whereas Eugene lies to the West. Still, the Entire Willamette Valley (Eugene north to Portland) will be getting enough snow that it will snarl traffic. Tahj was probably able to get into Portland with little trouble and shouldn't have trouble getting down to Eugene, but getting back up to Portland on Sunday could be messy, especially if the snow changes to freezing rain Sunday morning like is forecast.

And yea, Pacific Northwesterners have little idea how to deal with lowland snow, but in their defense, the roads are a lot steeper out here than there are in the Midwest. The roads up to my home (north of Portland) have been closed off and on for several days because only 4x4 vehicles with either chains or studded tires could make it up and down-- and that was on plowed roads with sand laid down. Of course, the elevation range in my zip code ranges from 25 feet to 1500 feet above sea level, so that's not necessarily the norm.

By the way, anyone who wants an idea of what Eugene looks like need only watch Animal House, as it was filmed there. It hasn't changed all that much in the thirty years since it was filmed.
