Scholarship Breakdown by Position and Recruiting Class

Seems like currently, we have 3 to give to reach the overall 85 limit, with the possibility of 2 additional if there are casualties to stay under the 25 / class limit (25+4 early enrollees).

Anyone know if students who enroll in spring quarter can be counted towards last year's class?

When will the chart be updated with the early departures of Wells, Washington & Hartline?

Once I clear out the current seniors...

EDIT: I want ahead and annotated Wells, Washington, and Hartline as early departures and stopped counting them against their class, giving us their ships and upping our available total to 27 (which doesn't include early enrollees).

15 (seniors) + 16 (juniors) + 27 (sophomores) + 25 (true frosh) = 83

Wilson will probably be back. This means that we'll have 1 more scholarship available. Probably will go to a walk-on. On top of that, Torrence might be gone.

That was my thinking too. With the limited numbers for next year, I'd expect any walk-on(s) converting to a schollie to be seniors. Dan Potokar is a candidate, along with the RBs (Marcus Williams, Joe Gantz, and K.C. Christian). Andrew Moses is also a candidate, but he may still be on an academic scholarship.

If Marcus Williams is a junior now (senior-to-be), he has to be the leading candidate for that scholarship (I thought he was a senior this past season). He's a key special teams player and has carried the ball several times (always comes in ahead of Gantz and Christian at RB). I don't think Potokar has been on the field for more than a few plays...

OK, I'm getting ready to start shifting everyone over a column, so I need to make sure I keep the members of the 2008 class who didn't play last season (thus redshirting) in place under the freshman column. Members of the 2008 class I'm sure who did play are:

Pryor
Posey
Thomas
Adams
Brewster
Shugarts
Williams
Sabino
Sweat

Those who I'm sure didn't play are:

DiLillo
Goebel
Rowell
Mobley
Wells
Howard
Domicone
Buchanan

Those I think didn't play, but not totally sure about are:

Martin
Stoneburner
Johnson

If I've got someone wrong, let me know. Mahaloz...

If a kid plays one single minute in one game all season, is the redshirt possiblity for that year gone? I was under the impression that redshirts could play a very imited amount of time before Big Ten season starts.

It would be nice if Shugarts and Adams could be considered redshirts, seems like this past season was a bit of a waste for them.
