RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

How many seasons does a running back get to spend in the prime of his career? Not many. If he decides to come back, it would only be too human for him to question his decision at some point during next season. Although it's refreshing to hear him talk about his obligations to this team as if he is caretaker, it is futile to suppress the reality that he is the caretaker for his biological family and that no accolade would ever put food on the table for them.

Whatever he does, I will support his decision 100%.
youre done at 30.

There is A LOT of unfinished busniness that Beanie has referred to when it comes to his college football career. I would not be surprised in the least bit if he returned for his Senior year. I know it's hard to imagine in this day and age, but money isn't the most important thing in some people's lives. Just ask MJ, JL, AB and others.

This is one of the most interesting dilemmas I have seen. One has to keep in mind that we'll be getting some outstanding freshman RBs coming in. I think either way we'll do well if Beanie stays or decides to go. However, I truly sympathize with what Beanie wants to do, it's a tough a decision to make.

Before the season started, I heard him do an interview where it was mentioned that he has something like 10 siblings. Anyone would jump at the chance to put that many family members in a better financial situation, and who could blame him? I know the JL argument comes into play quite a bit, but not many people have the luxury of being born into the financial situation of a professional wrestler.

Enjoy it on Monday, because that's the last we'll see him in S&G.

I don't agree with the "he has many mouths to feed" argument, unless you combine that argument with the possibility of a long term injury. Beanie's family has not had a million dollar man "feeding" them for their entire lives. Surprisingly enough, they can wait 365 more days of living like normal people before being blessed into a much better financial situation. Don't get me wrong, if I were him, I would have been gone yesterday. The only way I truly see him coming back would be to get his degree, because even though he more than likely won't ever need to use it, a degree is always a great accomplishment, which is why you see past athletes go back for theirs.

but there is also a strong change he won't go until mid to late first round which is a big difference money wise.

If by strong chance you mean almost no chance, I agree. Only thing that'll drop him out of the top 10 is a horrific showing in the Fiesta Bowl or a serious injury. He will test extremely well if healthy.

Agreed. Not only will he put up sick numbers in the fiesta bowl but he'll have a great combine at 240+ lbs. If he goes past the bengals I will do something completly stupid, beanie is such a great player anything past the top ten would be a huge steal.
