QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Gotta believe that Tresell would have wanted to redshirt Braxton Miller for this year with Guiton available. Probably doesn't have that luxury now.

Im not sure I've ever believed this to be true - irregardless of the suspensions, if Miller showed that he was clearly better than the others in spring and fall practices, I could see Tress getting him run with the 2s (his future team) in game minutes to get him ready to take over in 2012

Pryor shoots back at critic Herbstreit
By TIM MAY

NEW ORLEANS -- Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor has taken plenty of criticism for his role in tattoo-gate, an affair that is going to cost him the first five games of his senior season. But when he spoke to reporters for the first time today since the situation came to light, it was clear he wasn?t paying attention to at least one critic in particular, former Ohio State quarterback/turned ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who had said earlier that if the Buckeyes lost Pryor, it actually would be "addition by subtraction."

?I don?t worry about what Kirk Herbstreit says, to tell you the truth,? Pryor said. ?Has he beat Michigan??

That was in reference to the fact that, while Pryor is 3-0 against the Wolverines, the Buckeyes went 0-4-1 against their archrivals in the five seasons Herbstreit was there, 1988-92. But then, after Herbstreit directed OSU to a 13-13 deadlock in ?92, OSU president E. Gordon Gee did say ?this tie is one of our greatest wins.?

When apprised of Pryor's comment, Herbstreit -- in Pasadena, Calif., getting ready for this afternoon's telecast of the Rose Bowl -- said by text he'd rather not counter.

"Wish him well," Herbstreit said.

To be honest I wish TP would just shut the hell up. He has dug a hole and with every breath he seems to dig it deeper. Call it competitve fire, but why play into Herbie hands with all this? I'm not bashing here, just being honest. The team wins and loses a game, not TP or Herbstreit. The gold pants signify that win...enough said.

Maybe Pryor could saw the legs off of one of his gold pants trinkets and present the gold shorts to Herbie for the 10-10 tie.

How much does half a pair of pants go for? Pryor should avoid talking period. He should silence the critics with his arm and legs becasue he won't do it with his words.

Wow

"I don't worry about what Kirk Herbstreit says, to tell you the truth,' Pryor said. 'Has he beat Michigan?"

Kirk Herbstreit gets paid to bloviate his opinion. It's his job to say over-the-top crap to get attention and viewers. It's all part of a calculated strategy to generate interest and ratings. Terrelle Pryor should know this by now.

But rather than ignore it as he should, or make some innocuous comment that says nothing, Pryor busts out the 'beat Michigan' smack.

It's really stunning just how much that statement reveals about him.

It comes across as boastful, arrogant, self-satisfied, defensive and clueless.

Herbstreit might not have beaten Michigan, but as far as I know, he never embarrassed the University or the Program, and he certainly didn't jeopardize everything they had worked for with his actions and behavior.

I know I'll take some reputation hits for all that, but jeezus, Pryor needs to stuff a sock in it.

Plus, Herbstreit never even considered selling his gold pants.

Herbie embarrasses the University every fucking time he cracks his cocksucker and spits out his bullshit regardless of how much cash espn wraps around their dicks as they shove it up his ass, then straight to his mouth. Maybe Terrelle should keep his mouth shut. Herbie should for sure stop taking shots at the QB of his alma mater.

I agree. The last thing you need to be talking about right now is the Michigan game. You can't make a big deal about Herbie never beating Michigan, when you just embarrassed the University and let down your coaches and teammates because you sold your Gold Pants.

I don't know what's happened to this kid over the last year. He admitted he was arrogant as a freshman. Last year he really looked like he was trying hard to be humble and it came across in interviews. Somewhere along the line this season he started bringing unneeded attention to himself whether in interviews or on twitter. This whole thing with Herbie has gotten ridiculous.

HIS CONSTANT SLOBBERING OVER PETE CARROL AND THE SEC (FLORIDA COMES TO MIND FIRST) IS JUST A HORSE SHIT ROLE HE PLAYS. I KNOW HE'S A BUCKEYE BUT HE'S BECOME A COMPANY MAN. PERSONALLY, I DON'T CARE FOR HIM ANYMORE. JUST MY 2 CENTS.

Enough is [censored]ing enough. What has to happen before tp pauses to think for a moment before acting? I know that none of his transgressions have been of the hangin' offense variety, but I just don't see any personal growth, maturity or recognition that his actions represent the larger university community. He says what he has to when called on the carpet, but those words are increasingly coming off as hollow and self serving.

There is more to the story with Herbie. I would say that over half of the online portion of buckeye nation thinks he is a douche. This former buckeye captain once said on national television that no high school offensive player should consider going to OSU. Herbie can lick my sweaty taint.

FIFY

I think you guys get much too worked up over what a TV analyst says but that's just me.

Think of EsPIN as pro/fake wrestling back in the late 80s and early 90s. The heels get all of the mic time and say whatever it is they want. I just ignore them for the most part except to make fun of them.
