QB Todd Boeckman (official thread)

This probably isn't the thread but I think CK is getting inadvertently slammed here. I just watched my "Time & Change" DVD, and Krenzel made some pretty impressive throws that season. He wasn't Dan Marino back there, but he wasn't Joe Nobody either.

Yeah, all that bloody Krenzel guy did was win games. Always at the last minute. Who needs that? You see, if you are going to win football games you need to be flashy. You need to make that vibe and spread it around a little. Who needs a guy who just wins games...Uh, wait a minute...

I appologize in the accidental slamming, I was just trying to say how high of hopes I have, I do believe CK was a great college QB, I didn't mean to come off like that, In general I'm not a fan of Comparisons. I don't want want the next CK, Troy, Vince Young, Michael Vick, Peyton manning. I want the first (fill in the blank). In this case I want the first Todd Boeckman, thats all I was trying to say. Sorry for any misunderstandings fellas

COLUMBUS ? Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman may have to prove himself against Youngstown State to hang on to the starting spot, but he's already won the confidence of his teammates.
"I've always respected Todd," senior tackle Kirk Barton said. "He's a good person, well brought up. The way he's played the last month, a lot of guys respect him. He's got a powerful arm. He's become a more vocal leader. We're excited to see him in action."

You forgot Powers-Herbstreit.

It was actually Powers and a young Hoying who split time in 1993. Kirk pretty much had the job to himself in 1992. :)

And I agree with Taos (?!). Todd will make some nice athletic plays and will be more than serviceable back there. He ran the ball a lot way back in HS. As I recall, his senior year team stunk, and he basically scrambled for his life back there...doubt that will be the case this year, especially against YSU. Great game for him to get his feet wet as a starter.
