The Indianapolis Colts tried out three players today, according to a league source.

The auditioning trio included wide receiver/kick returner Larry Beavers, quarterback Todd Boeckman and wide receiver David Grimes.

None of the players was immediately signed, though.

Beavers has a previous stint with the Carolina Panthers.

Boeckman, who played at Ohio State, was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the regular season.

They also had former Ohio State quarterback Todd Boeckman in for a tryout. Boeckman was here for the rookie minicamp last year but was not offered a contract.

Talked to former QB Todd Boeckman yesterday. He took a job recently with Worthington Steel in sales. They all get a "real job" eventually.

Anyone know what Todd's up to now? Last I heard he was on the jaguars but that was a year ago.
