First half there was some rain, not pouring rain but enough to perhaps make it harder to sling it. As I recall, in the second half it pretty much stopped altogether.I don't remember any pouring rain during the game, just a drizzle off and on. It was clear most of the game
As for McCord, you would think IU will not be nearly as difficult as the season openers CJ had with Minny on the road at night and a tough ND defense albeit at home. On that note though, not sure if IU returns much of a secondary to speak of this season but Stroud did shred them for 5 passing TD's last year. So I would imagine McCord or Brown would have a favorable matchup to start, then Youngstown State and Western Kentucky to follow, which should be ideal to establish a rhythm prior to ND in Week 4. Not saying there won't be hiccups in those first 3 games but at least we aren't playing a top 10 team in the first few weeks like in most recent years past.
