QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

Honestly I like LSU...good physical running game and normally athletic out wife.

They just haven't had a good QB literally since Matt Flynn... sure they've had some athletic guys come in but they were not as gifted throwing at Joe.

The SEC in general is void of QB mostly anyways. I'd love to see him there and I think it will be based off their depth chart. Joe would be a shoe in to start

I dunno man....I disagree. Look at Danny Etling just drafted by the Patriots in round 7. The guy has a great arm, came in highly regarded, and the system failed him. They just suck at implementing a system that gets the ball to playmakers. It just seems like they're consistently 3-4 years behind the trend in college football.

My biggest issue with LSU is if he goes there and they're stagnant, which is entirely possible, it crushes his "draftability". He'd have been better off being an unknown commodity behind Haskins than having poor tape in a shitty LSU system. If I'm a Burrow consultant, I probably avoid the SEC all-together. He's coming in on short notice, in a confernece that prides itself on defense. There are great options all around the country that will allow him to shine. LSU would be a non-starter for me. I'd consider UF because of Mullen but it wouldn't be that appealing.

If I'm Burrow, in order I want:

1. UCLA
2. TCU
3. Memphis/FAU

Go ball out kid, and put up massive numbers.

Best of luck to Joe. No qualms with him chasing his dream. Hope he lands in a good spot outside the B1G. My faith is now fully vested in Haskins and our coaching staff. I’m the eternal optimist so on to the positives:

1) there will be no potential mishandling of the QB situation with Joe transferring and the team can now rally behind Haskins
2) the staff has sufficient time to implement schemes featuring Haskins strengths
3) there’s an unbelievable amount of talent at the skill positions and sufficient OL depth to enable Haskins to operate as a distributor and reduce pressure on him to win the premier games through tough yards on the ground or forcing it...it’s really a great situation for him to emerge on the scene without having to win games squarely on his shoulders
4) while I believe the offense may have put up slightly better production with Joey at helm I’ve seen Haskins rip the heart out of TTUN in their house - the kid had grit that day when JT was absolutely gridlocked and the game was in question. Joey has lots of potential but winning the game on the road when that’s all the matters requires swagger and Dwayne’s got it

Wet blankets:
1) we’ll likely will see less of Tate in wildcat formations to derisk which eliminates some fun and exciting offensive schemes from the playbook (again we’ve got a ridiculous amount of skill position talent so not a big deal)
2) we’ve got less room for error with QB depth

From 07 to 14, they had a top-10 QB in every class except one. In the next one they signed two.

Their horrendous QB development finally caught up with them and they struck out on quality QBs in the last 4 classes.

Since Fisher left, their lack of ability to develp a QB is shocking. Maybe there's something in the water? I don't get it......yes, the SEC is great defensive football, but man, LSU is behind the curb every year. I just don't know why you'd make yourself the guinea pig. Go shine in a great offensive system where the coaching staff makes the QB look great.......

Id take a visit to LSU for the fun, but man, I hope he makes a smarter decision than that.....

I’m not sure Urban would be too wild about Burrow transferring to a team they play in 2018. I don’t know if he would block him from doing so, but I’m sure he would at least attempt to steer him to potentially better opportunities.
